[Chat Group]
Uchiha Miyuki: "Hoho~ As expected of Scathach-senpai! She's really going to challenge His Highness Jaeger. This is getting exciting!"
Yamamoto Mei: "Honestly, it's not surprising."
Luo Hao: "Though she may not be one of us God Slayers in title, Scathach has long been a slayer of gods. When she sees a mountain, she doesn't avoid it—she climbs. That is the will of the strong."
Jibril: "Exactly! And hey, with me here—and plenty of Senzu Beans to go around—even if someone wants to die, they won't. So why not fight with everything you've got?"
While the chat group buzzed with energy, Scathach herself remained silent.
Her fate, originally, was to be the immortal queen of the Land of Shadows. After slaying gods, she was cursed—left to wander outside the world, waiting for the end, in hopes of one day raising a warrior strong enough to end her life.
But now…
Now she had joined the multiversal chat group, regained her peak strength ahead of time, and witnessed worlds beyond imagination. Though her desire to die had waned, her lust for battle remained as fierce as ever.
And just like Jaeger said—her duel with Yamato wasn't about crushing the weak.
It was about luring him into action.
Scathach raised her twin blood-red spears, her eyes glowing with challenge.
"Come, Jaeger. Fight me."
Her voice rang out across the deck.
"Five of us ganging up on Yamato was bullying the weak. But if we surround someone like you, Jaeger, that's practically a crusade. You wouldn't mind that, right?"
Before Jaeger could even respond, a sudden voice interrupted.
"You spear-crazy woman, are you out of your mind?! Challenging Jaeger? If you've got a death wish, don't drag me down with you!"
Kaido, who'd been cheerfully watching the chaos until now, suddenly turned pale. Without another word, he transformed into his massive Eastern Dragon form and took off into the sky with a roar.
As his enormous form soared away from the ship, he shouted back:
"Saint Jaeger! We're almost at Loguetown anyway! As the new Admiral, it's my duty to go ahead and make sure it's safe for your arrival! I'll go… prepare the welcome!"
"Eh…?"
Scathach blinked in confusion, still holding her spears. She wasn't even mad about the insults, but... wasn't that way too fast of a retreat?
Sure, Jaeger was strong—absurdly so but this wasn't even supposed to be a real fight!
"Tch, idiot woman. You don't understand how terrifying Saint Jaeger really is!"
Kaido grumbled mid-air, his massive body trembling slightly as a memory flashed through his mind—the day he'd been obliterated by Jaeger's Noble Phantasm, Heaven is Dead. That apocalyptic move had shattered both him and the sky itself.
Never again. He would never let himself feel that helplessness again.
Unfortunately for Kaido, someone wasn't ready to let him off so easily.
"Don't let him run away, Jaeger!"
Still sniffling in Jaeger's arms, Yamato pointed angrily at the dragon flying away.
"That jerk hit me in the head at least a dozen times with his stupid spiky club! You told me I wasn't smart but if you let him get away, I'll think you're the dumb one!"
Jaeger's brow twitched.
...Wasn't she supposed to still be crying?
Honestly, it looked less like grief and more like a child whining for candy. But still, when a big, fluffy white-haired dog-girl clings to your chest and cries her heart out, even Jaeger couldn't stay indifferent.
Well... someone needs to teach her "dad" a lesson anyway.
With a subtle shift, a divine gleam flickered in Jaeger's eyes—the Eye of Horus.
"No flying."
Kaido's wings stiffened mid-flap.
"Wha—!?"
The dragon's body wobbled and plummeted toward the sea, as though the laws of flight had suddenly turned off. He thrashed wildly, trying to regain altitude, but it was as if gravity itself refused to let him soar.
Scathach narrowed her eyes.
Jaeger slowly extended his hand—and a silver spear formed in it. Runes danced across its shaft, and divine energy pulsed from its core.
"…That's—!"
Scathach's voice dropped. "The eternal spear Gungnir. Empowered by the god-killer, Luo Hao herself."
Jaeger didn't say a word.
He simply turned and hurled it.
The silver spear didn't cut through the air—it erased the space around it, traveling like a beam of divinity. In a blink, it reached Kaido, who desperately tried to shield his abdomen with all his Haki and Devil Fruit strength.
Too late.
"Ssshhhk!"
A jet of blood burst in the air like red rain.
Kaido's beast form distorted, forcibly reverting back to his human body as the spear drove through him like butter. Gungnir not only pierced his flesh—it cut off his transformation itself.
"No… way…"
Kaido gasped, staring down at the silver spear embedded in his gut.
He knew Jaeger was out of his league, but this? To be taken out with just one casual throw?
Uchiha Miyuki: "Heh! Kaido's definitely questioning his whole life now. That wasn't just any spear—it's Gungnir! Odin's divine weapon from another world!"
Yamamoto Mei: "Right. Gungnir never misses. It's been enhanced by Luo Hao and carries Odin's sealing power. It can pierce anything—and disable abilities. It's honestly overkill on Kaido."
Jibril: "A shame he doesn't have my Senzu beans~ Jaeger-sama didn't mean to kill him, just teach him a fatherly lesson… for his fluffy white dog-daughter's sake."
Sawamura Eiri: "Bruh. That's what you call a 'weapon with minimum lethality'? A divine spear that seals gods? It's more broken than any cheat item I've seen!"
As the chat laughed, Gungnir returned like a boomerang—Kaido still impaled on it. With a soft thud, the battered warlord crashed onto the deck, groaning in pain as the spear vanished in a spray of silver light.
"Heh! That's what you get, stupid dad!"
Yamato cheered gleefully and summoned her icy club. "Here's my follow-up move—Ice Phantom Blade!"
CRACK!
With one powerful swing, Kaido turned into a frozen statue—complete with a frozen wound where Gungnir had struck.
Ah yes, filial daughter, Yamato-style.
Jaeger glanced at Kaido, sighed, then turned toward the remaining challengers.
"One down."
His hand opened, and Gungnir vanished into light.
"Now... would the rest of you prefer to come all at once—or one by one?"
A tense silence fell across the battlefield.
Suddenly—
"Zzzztt!"
Black lightning exploded in the air. Karuizawa Kei—Jaeger's "loyal dog"—unleashed a surge of thunder from the Noble Phantasm he'd given her.
Scathach turned sharply. "You're going to fight Jaeger first?"
But the lightning didn't move toward Jaeger.
Instead, it zipped behind him.
In a flash, Karuizawa reappeared at his back, transformed back to her human form.
Blonde hair, hot-girl school uniform, cheeks flushed red—she looked more like a fangirl than a fighter.
"I-I finally get to see you up close, Jaeger-sama…"
Her voice was small, almost squeaky. She wouldn't even meet his eyes.
Jaeger turned, raising a brow.
Was she trembling? Blushing? Wait—is her nose bleeding?
This girl might have turned into black thunder, but right now she looked like she'd short-circuited herself.
"What? Aren't you going to experience my power for yourself? This is a rare opportunity."
Jaeger's voice carried amusement as he looked down at Kei Karuizawa. His tone wasn't mocking—just curious.
Kei immediately shook her head, eyes wide with something between awe and panic.
"No! The strength I have—the will to take revenge—it all comes from you! How could I raise a hand against you? That would be... so disrespectful! I might as well commit seppuku on the spot!"
Her voice was full of sincerity, almost desperate in its devotion.
She gazed up at Jaeger with eyes that shimmered like a star chart—overflowing with admiration, reverence, fear, and a childlike yearning.
To her, Jaeger wasn't someone she could ever oppose.
Even the idea of him being angry at her sent a shiver through her soul. If he glared at her with true displeasure… she'd probably collapse on the spot.
Weak as she might be, Karuizawa Kei had no delusions about her place. In her world, Jaeger was the sun. She could only orbit him—awed, terrified, and completely dependent.
"Tch... what a pathetic character."
Esdeath sneered from nearby, arms folded as her cold blue eyes narrowed with disdain. She made no attempt to lower her voice.
Of all the people in the chat group, Esdeath despised Kei's kind the most. To her, strength was everything.
The strong should dominate, the weak should struggle—and if they didn't want to get stronger, they deserved nothing.
And yet here was Kei, the epitome of the weak clinging to the strong. Esdeath found it revolting.
In contrast, Scathach's expression was unreadable. She wasn't as quick to judge.
In her mind, she understood Kei in a way others didn't.
The strong rise to become knights. Stronger still, they become heroes. Heroes protect kingdoms, and the strongest become kings. But even kings—no matter how mighty—cannot rival the gods.
This was the age of gods. The weak depend on the strong. The strong rely on even greater strength. Being weak… was never a sin.
People were not born equal. And the path to bridge that gap was as steep as reaching the heavens.
"Let's go!!"
Despite losing Kei's support, Scathach's spirit burned brighter than ever.
The twin scarlet spears in her hands flared with magic. Her battle cry echoed across the battlefield.
"I've waited a long time for this!"
Akainu's body erupted in magma. His fists boiled the air, but his eyes burned even hotter than the lava he controlled.
Ever since the day Jaeger had killed him in a single stroke, he had trained obsessively. This was the moment he had lived for.
And Esdeath—naturally—wasn't going to be left behind. Her Ice Teigu and Devil Fruit surged in unison, outputting extreme cold beyond natural limits.
Even her skin shimmered with frost from the sheer power she was channeling.
She gritted her teeth.
"I'll freeze Jaeger in place! Strike now!"
The cold she unleashed wasn't meant to harm—not directly.
Jaeger's blessings from the Sky God and his immunity to ice meant her power couldn't touch him. But it could bind his movements, just as it had briefly with Yamato.
Almost simultaneously, Akainu and Scathach launched their attacks. No signal, no plan—they simply moved as if by instinct. Left and right, they closed in.
"Pierce! Breakthrough!"
Scathach shouted the incantation for her Noble Phantasm. Knowing long-range wouldn't work, she blitzed Jaeger directly, aiming to pin him in space with her spears.
Akainu's magma fists roared as he went fully elemental, aiming to pulverize Jaeger in a fiery assault.
"Oh?"
Jaeger watched the trio with a calm smile. The teamwork was... surprisingly coordinated. He tilted his head.
"A classic combo. Crowd control and dual pressure…"
A soft glow lit behind him. A beautiful red-haired goddess, ethereal and divine, appeared like a ghostly lover wrapping her arms around his neck.
"I'll be merciful. I won't use the enhancements Kocho Shinobu gave me. Just my own power should be enough."
Jaeger whispered to himself, and the aura of Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, bloomed in full. Her divine treasure—the Noble Phantasm of the Main Goddess—awakened.
"You… shall experience the mood of the chaotic star—"
This was no ordinary power. A glance from the goddess—no, a sliver of her presence—was enough to cripple minds.
If fully unleashed, the Noble Phantasm had special attack traits against even gods. An instant-death technique at a divine level.
"AAAHHHHHH!!!"
Esdeath, Scathach, and Akainu screamed in unison.
They weren't wounded in the traditional sense. But their minds were shattered. It felt like a hammer to the skull—followed by thousands of blades skewering their brains.
Compared to the previous time Jaeger used this technique in the World of Bleach, this version—enhanced by Kocho Shinobu—was far more powerful.
Blood erupted from their noses, ears, mouths, even their eyes. It was horrifying.
All attacks crumbled instantly. The three warriors collapsed on the deck, spasming, twitching… helpless.
They couldn't even think about fighting.
Uchiha Miyuki: "Wait, WHAT?! Scathach—the Scathach who kills gods—was taken out with a look?! Jaeger-sama, did you overdo it?"
Yamamoto Mei: "No… if anything, he was gentle."
Jibril: "Indeed! The god Avoid is a technique meant to split bodies in half with a swing. 'The Heavens Are Dead' is a planet-breaking, anti-god attack. Jaeger could've destroyed them completely… but he didn't."
Karuizawa Kei: "Thank goodness I didn't attack… Scathach and the others were so terrifying, but now—now they're… bleeding from everywhere! Is it really okay?!"
Jibril: "Relax. I gave Jaeger all the Senzu beans. One bite and they'll be good as new!"
Eriri Sawamura: "Boss, your Senzu beans are crazy OP!"
Just as Jibril said, the Senzu beans worked instantly. The trio recovered completely—body, mind, and soul.
But even fully healed, none of them could meet Jaeger's eyes.
Not because they feared death.
But because of the memory.
Scathach later admitted she'd rather return to the Age of Gods and battle a High Lord than relive that pain again.
Just one glance had brought more suffering than any battlefield ever had.
Akainu… well, he fell into a deep silence. The man who'd trained day and night to surpass his old self… had been reduced to nothing again.
First by a sword, now by a glance. The gap between him and Jaeger wasn't shrinking—it was growing.
It was crushing.
