After knocking everyone aside, Steve finally released a trace of the pain trapped in his heart.
Destruction, it seemed, was a good way to vent his emotions.
Glancing at the scrambling crowd, he snorted proudly and vanished like a gust of wind.
Steve could now move at supersonic speeds—another terrifying side effect of the Gamma Rays—but he was completely unaware of all these changes.
Free as the wind, he ran faster and faster, eventually lifting off the ground.
His figure disappeared from sight, leaving only a streak of red lightning kicking up clouds of dust before vanishing entirely.
One time… two times… three times… ten times…
As if releasing all the bitterness, panic, and confusion in his heart, Steve charged wildly. He could actually fly!
At Lake Corry on the outskirts of New York, a remote natural lake, the aimless Steve finally stopped.
Slowly returning to his normal appearance, his emotions calmed. He walked to the shore and sat, gazing quietly at the water.
He didn't know where Peggy was, where he was, what kind of world this was, or even who he was.
All he remembered were Peggy and the uncompleted dance.
Gradually, he became lost, the light in his eyes dimming.
On the other side, Red Queen compiled the video she had taken and ran to Leo to share it.
"Master, I filmed something very interesting for you to see," she said, playing the footage.
Leo's interest immediately piqued. If Red Queen considered it interesting, it had to be extraordinary.
In the video, a Red Giant ran wildly through the streets, his barely-clothed form causing a sensation.
"This…" Leo muttered, stunned.
Hulk's brother? Red Hulk? But hadn't General Ross, the Red Hulk, been eliminated? Where had this one come from?
By the end of the video, the Red Giant had taken off at astonishing speed, flying out of sight.
"Red Queen, can you trace where he first appeared?" Leo asked gravely. "Which abnormal lab experiment produced this? If this spreads, this world could descend into chaos."
"Master, I'm sorry. He appeared too suddenly. I only discovered him in the city; his prior whereabouts are untraceable," Red Queen explained.
Leo nodded. Who knew what kind of monster this was, or where he came from? Yet something about him felt familiar.
"Red Queen, do a facial comparison. I feel like I've seen him before."
Red Queen tilted her head mischievously. "Master… you might have already guessed. It's Captain America—Steve Rogers."
Leo's eyes widened. Incredible. How could Steve have become a Red Giant?
He was deeply shaken. Was Steve so traumatized that he either perished quietly or became extraordinary? Either way… he looked amazing.
Wild and untamed, completely unconventional.
Ever since his arrival, the world had grown more interesting.
"Brother, what's up? Why are you so happy?"
Jean Grey suddenly appeared, blinking her large eyes, quietly approaching Leo. No. 18 and Wanda also turned, curious what scheme he might be plotting.
Before they could investigate further, Leo quickly closed the video. Such a shocking scene wasn't meant for casual eyes.
"Haha, it's nothing. Steve just became a Red Giant—Hulk's twin brother," Leo laughed, brushing it off.
"Red Giant?"
"Really?"
The women exchanged incredulous looks.
"Of course. He's already caught America's attention," Leo said with a mischievous grin.
"Looks like he's resuming his old profession—C-position debut, perhaps? Fits him perfectly. Steve has always been dazzling."
"Hmph, you never say anything truthful!"
"All you do is spout nonsense!"
No. 18 and Wanda scolded him in unison.
Red Queen was asked to check the roadside surveillance.
"I already checked. He came from the suburbs, where there's no surveillance. Even satellites wouldn't catch him there.
But my deduction: Steve must have accepted the Gamma Ray experiment to save Bucky, and whoever orchestrated this is… interesting."
Red Queen even donned a detective outfit, analyzing the situation for everyone, which made them laugh.
Leo nodded. Steve, for his beloved Bucky, had long since burned his bridges and would do anything.
Becoming a Red Giant? Not surprising.
Yet this Red Giant was something else—ridiculously strong, but mentally fractured.
Meanwhile, at Lake Corry, Steve met an old man—a mysterious figure who could change his destiny.
