Chapter 29 : Blood in Silence
The night felt… wrong.
Leo stood still, his gaze sharp, something heavy lingering in the air. Beside him, Jhosan adjusted his sleeves, already sensing the tension.
"Michel said his partner is important," Jhosan muttered.
Leo finally spoke, his voice low.
"He's not just important."
Jhosan looked at him.
Leo's eyes darkened slightly.
"A reporter… years ago. She worked under Adrian Voss. Before she disappeared… she mentioned two names."
A pause.
"Valley Lily… and Silent Duchess."
Jhosan frowned.
"And you think Adrian knows something?"
Leo nodded once.
"That's why we're here."
They stepped inside the private estate.
The man waiting for them was Adrian Voss—a long-time family friend of Leo's and one of Michel's most trusted business partners.
"Leo!" Adrian greeted warmly. "It's been a while—"
Leo didn't return the smile.
"I need information," he said directly.
Adrian stiffened.
"What kind of—"
A sound interrupted him.
Heels.
Slow.
Deliberate.
Adrian's face lost all color.
His lips trembled.
Two figures stepped into the light.
One moved with elegance… almost lazily.
The other—silent.
Deadly.
"Silent Duchess…" Adrian whispered.
His eyes shifted.
"…Valley Lily."
Leo's gaze sharpened instantly.
So it was true.
Valley Lily tilted her head, a faint smile playing on her lips.
"Seems like someone has been talking about us," she said lightly.
Everything changed in a second.
Jhosan stepped forward.
"Stay behind."

Chaos erupted.
Guards rushed in.
Gunfire.
Shouts.
Bodies moving.
Silent Duchess moved first.
No hesitation.
No wasted motion.

A guard collapsed.
Another—
Blood hit the floor.
She didn't fight.
She erased.
On the other side—
Valley Lily smiled.
Almost bored.
Dodging attacks like it was nothing, her movements smooth… playful.
A guard charged—
She stepped aside.
Another swung—
She blocked effortlessly.
"Is this all?" she sighed.
Leo stepped in.
Fast.
Sharp.
Their eyes met.
The air shifted.
Their clash was immediate.
Leo attacked with precision, power, control.
But Valley Lily…
She wasn't serious.
She blocked him with one hand.
Moved back lightly.
Almost dancing.
"Your training…" she said softly, her voice dripping with amusement,

She laughed.
Light.
Mocking.
Leo's expression darkened.
His attacks became faster.

More dangerous.
But she kept smiling.
Like this was a game.

Jhosan turned—
Too late.
Silent Duchess was already in front of Adrian.
Adrian stepped back in fear.
"You—wait—I can—"
A single move.
Clean.
Final.
He fell.
Silence.
Leo froze for a second.
Then—
Something inside him snapped.
He turned—
But they were already leaving.
Valley Lily glanced back once.
Smiling.
Silent Duchess didn't even bother.
And just like that—
They disappeared.
The room fell into stillness.
Bodies everywhere.
Blood on the floor.
And Adrian Voss… lifeless.
Leo stood there.
Breathing heavy.
Fists clenched.
Eyes burning with something dark.
Jhosan stepped closer carefully.
"Leo…"
Leo didn't move.
When he finally spoke—
His voice was low.
Cold.

"He knew… and they silenced him."
A pause.
His gaze hardened.
