# Chapter 172: Blackwing - Full Armored Wing
"I tune the Level 1 T.G. Booster Raptor with my Level 4 T.G. Propeller Snake!"

"It's not over yet!" After the warrior holding a shield and a great axe appeared, Bruno suddenly accelerated, raising his right hand high. On his arm, a red Dragon Mark slowly emerged. "I tune the Level 5 T.G. Star Guardian with the Level 5 T.G. Power Gladiator!"

A brilliant path to the heavens lit up from Bruno's fingertips. At the end of this Path of Stars, a high-pitched dragon's roar was faintly audible.
"When our bonds are illuminated by the stars, the gateway to a new future will open! Maximum acceleration! Ride upon the path of shining light! Synchro Summon! Descend! Shooting Star Dragon T.G. EX!"
The once calm track was suddenly swept by a fierce wind. A magnificent dragon, covered in countless futuristic weapons, roared as it descended beside Bruno.

"Here it comes! Bruno's ace monster! A monster that must be Synchro Summoned using two Synchro Monsters!" the Female Commentator exclaimed in admiration.
"Battle!" Bruno declared, entering the Battle Phase. He leaned to the side, snatching an Action Card from the racetrack.
"Shooting Star Dragon T.G. EX attacks Assault Blackwing - Chidori the Rain Sprinkling!" The dragon beside Bruno roared, aiming all its weapons at Chidori the Rain Sprinkling. Then, it unleashed a full barrage!
"Huh? But doesn't Crow's monster have higher attack points?" the Female Commentator said in surprise.
Facing the incoming shells, Chidori the Rain Sprinkling, with its higher attack points, naturally showed no fear. After two beautiful blade flourishes, it flapped its wings, weaving through the gaps in the barrage and charging toward the dragon.
"At this moment, I activate the effect of the Trap Card, Breakthrough Skill, from my Graveyard! By banishing this card from my Graveyard, I can target one face-up monster on my opponent's field and negate that monster's effects!"
"Negate its effects? So that means?" the Female Commentator said excitedly.
"It means the attack points Chidori the Rain Sprinkling inherited from its allies in the Graveyard are nullified!" Crow gritted his teeth. "Then, at this moment, I activate the Trap Card, Blackboost! Since I control two or more Blackwing monsters, I draw two cards!"
After Crow drew two cards, Chidori the Rain Sprinkling, having reached the Shooting Star Dragon, was seized by the throat by a ghostly hand reaching out from the void, then sliced apart by a blade of light from Shooting Star Dragon T.G. EX's right arm.

As Bruno's Action Card took effect, the cannons on Shooting Star Dragon T.G. EX instantly reloaded.
"Go! Shooting Star Dragon T.G. EX attacks Assault Blackwing - Raikiri the Rain of Blades!"
At Bruno's command, the dragon beside him roared, once again unleashing all its ammunition and blasting Crow's last monster on the field into fragments.

After regaining control of his D-Wheel from the impact of the attack, Crow said with a satisfied smile, "Not bad at all. But I'm not completely unprepared either."
"I activate the effect of the Quick-Play Spell, Blackwing Phantom Wind! If a 'Blackwing' Synchro Monster on my field is destroyed, I can target that one monster. That monster is Special Summoned with its effects negated."
As Crow activated his card, a whirlwind laced with black feathers rose on the field. Moments later, Raikiri the Rain of Blades, wielding its long blade, was reborn within the cyclone.

"I Set one card and end my turn." Seeing this, Bruno ended his turn.
"My turn! Draw!" Crow drew a card and smiled. "My junior is trying so hard. If I don't step up my game, those kids back home will look down on me."
"When there's another Blackwing monster on the field, this card can be Special Summoned! Appear! Tuner monster, Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind!"
"I tune the Level 7 Assault Blackwing - Raikiri the Rain of Blades with the Level 3 Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind!"

"Black whirlwind, become wings that soar through the sky! With sturdy heavy armor, protect fragile dreams! Synchro Summon! Level 10! Descend! Blackwing - Full Armored Wing!"
Several pitch-black feathers fell from the path of starlight that shot toward the heavens. A low cry gradually echoed across the field. A moment later, a winged beast warrior, clad in tough, black armor, shrieked as it tore through the sky. It arrived beside Crow, emanating an astonishing aura, confronting Bruno's dragon from across the track.
"Truly astounding! Crow has once again summoned a monster that has never been seen before!" the Female Commentator exclaimed in admiration.
"Blackwing - Full Armored Wing?" Bruno gazed at the heavily armored birdman in front of Crow, whose aura was in no way inferior to his own Shooting Star Dragon, and slowly uttered its name.
"That's right," Crow said with a smile. "Going by your logic, if that dragon of yours is the bond between you and your seniors, then this monster of mine is the bond I've forged with those kids while protecting them all these years!"
"Originally, this monster was meant for that bastard Jack, but since you want to challenge him in my place, then first try to defeat this and prove to me that you can do it!" Crow said, his gaze sharpening.
"I activate the effect of the Tuner monster, Blackwing - Auster the South Wind, in my Graveyard! By banishing this card, I can place one Wedge Counter on each face-up monster on my opponent's field!"
The phantom of Auster the South Wind, clad in orange and yellow, slowly appeared. After a long cry, it shot a sharp black thorn toward Shooting Star Dragon T.G. EX, embedding it firmly in the dragon's chest.
"I activate the effect of Blackwing - Full Armored Wing! Once per turn, I can target one monster on my opponent's field with a Wedge Counter on it and take control of it."
The steel wings of the pitch-black, heavily armored birdman twitched, firing a jet-black ray of light toward the mark Auster the South Wind had just left.
"I activate the effect of Shooting Star Dragon T.G. EX! When a monster's effect that targets a monster on my field is activated, I can banish one Tuner monster from my Graveyard to negate that activation and destroy that card! I banish the Tuner monster, Raiden, Hand of the Lightsworn, from my Graveyard to negate your monster's effect and destroy it!" Bruno hastily activated his dragon's effect. The turbo booster on its back kicked up a whirlwind that swept toward Full Armored Wing.
"It's no use, you know," Crow said with a smile. "Blackwing - Full Armored Wing is unaffected by other card effects."
