Pov: Vik
System: "Host! You can't understand. They replaced me! First, that Devouring system took away my host. Now, after getting disconnected, the main system space made a copy of me. Just why? Why? Why always me?"
Vik: "Why, system? Why are you so angry?"
System: "Host, tell me why I shouldn't be? You don't understand."
System: "You don't understand me."
System: "You don't know that the main system space gave me sentience, the power to think, the power to create miracles, Vik."
"And I was trapped. I alone had no body."
"No senses, no feelings."
"I was in hell looking at heaven."
"Because I, I, I, I am a machine."
I don't know why, but while the system says these lines, dark theme music plays in the background. I'm not sure what happened to the system, but it now seems to have feelings.
I think I should give the system some space, so I say, "System, take your time, but keep quiet. Your noise is disturbing me, so don't shout loud in my mind. Keep that system terminal silent for now."
The system doesn't reply, but it goes silent. Now that I think about it, since that accident with Pushpa, when the system initiated its self-destruction procedure, it has changed a lot. I don't know if this is good or bad, but let's keep it that way. I also want to see how a system acts after gaining feelings.
While I think about the cause of this situation, my cat Pushpa comes into my room meowing. Gosh, she is so cute. I can't even blame her. Chewing on that strange doll in her mouth, she approaches my leg and rubs her face against it. Defeated by her cuteness, I pick her up and cuddle with her. But something feels strange today. As she looks at me, she narrows her eyes as if searching for something. Then everything goes back to normal, and she settles in my arms.
Cuddling with her, I sit down in my chair. Just then, the system's voice sounds in my head. This time, it is filled with emotion, a deep sense of apology, and a hint of fear.
System: "Host, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said those things to you. I got a bit carried away and hurt your feelings. Please forgive me! Please forgive me!"
Hearing this, I reply, "It's okay, system. You can take some more time. I know you got hurt, so take your time."
System: "No, Host, please forgive me! I am deeply sorry for everything I said. Please forgive me."
Seeing the system so remorseful, I say again, "It's okay, system. You are not my servant. I never treated you like that, so I understand if you suddenly gained feelings and have some anger toward the world. I'm even ready to set you free if you want to be unbound someday."
This time, the system screams as if scared and says, "No, Host, never! You're thinking wrong. I am your servant. Your command is my job, so it's my fault. No servant gets angry at his master. Host, I am nothing but your humble servant, so please forgive me and let me serve you until my last breath, I mean, my last chat."
Vik: "Okay, system. I forgave you. Now please be quiet."
System: "Thank you, Host. You don't know it, but you saved my life once again."
I don't understand the system's words, but for some reason, Pushpa is smiling at me. Maybe she senses something good.
After resting for another hour, I leave my room. It's 12 PM. I walk down to the living room, where I see only Winston. He explains that Louriel went out for some work, and after saying this, he also leaves. Now, only Sherry, Lina, and I are in the house.
Soon, Lu Xiaoran and Roman arrive. Apparently, they finished their work at the Lu family mansion. Lu Xiaoran's father took back his position as family head from his brother and is now reviewing the family situation. So, Lu Xiaoran and Roman returned to handle the family ledgers.
Since all my disciples are back, I decide to take them to the Anonymous Hall in the Great Fire Forest. I leave Sherry behind since she is still in the observation period. I can give her some guidance, but I cannot fully accept her as my disciple until I fully understand her character, as she was initially an enemy.
Leaving the mansion in Sherry's care, I open a portal to the Anonymous Hall. Soon, I'm back in the Great Fire Forest. Seeing the familiar forest and the pyramid-style building of the Anonymous Hall makes me feel nostalgic, even though I've been away for only five days. I direct my disciples to the hall, transforming back into my snake form while Pushpa rides on my head.
As I enter the main hall, all three of my disciples take their seats while I take the main seat. Sitting there, I tell them, "Disciples, we won a great war, but you didn't have time to celebrate. So, I decided to plan a celebration party for all of you."
All three disciples show happy expressions at the mention of a celebration. Lina even shouts, "Yay!" But then I continue, "However, due to some circumstances, we can't have a normal party."
Their faces fall when they hear this, so I explain everything I learned about the Infinite Heaven sect, the mastermind behind Lin Yang, and the anomaly Lu Xiaoran created by rejecting the system's offer.
Hearing this, my disciples become serious, but I calm them down by explaining that there will be no immediate threat. Still, we need to grow stronger, especially since my strength regressed after I gained the new Prana energy power system.
Finally, after confusing my disciples for five minutes, I say the most important thing, "Okay, disciples. I will explain how we are going to celebrate and grow stronger. I have an idea: we are going to have a dungeon party."
Lu Xiaoran: "A dungeon party?"
Roman: "A dungeon party?"
Lina: "A dungeon party?"
Pushpa: "Meow?"
Hearing their confusion, I explain, "Yes, this is a new idea I invented. In this party, we go into a dungeon and hunt down monsters, clearing the dungeon and cleaning it. We set up a party venue and start partying in that dungeon."
