On a mountainside, Steve and the members of the Roaring Assault Team were getting ready to zipline.
The guerrillas helped them locate Dr. Zola's position, and in just a moment, the doctor's mobile lab would pass by the railway not far below.
These mountain railways were secretly built by Hydra, surrounded by cliffs, they used this to conceal the existence of the railway.
"Watch your timing, the train is fast, and we only have a very limited time to glide onto the roof."
Steve drew on the ground with a stone, explaining that they were in Austria, with snow on the mountains not yet melted and the cold wind seeping into everyone's clothes.
Baki patted his chest, encouraging his good friend, "No problem, we'll all follow right behind you."
Steve was about to add more details, but the train's whistle sounded in the distance, and it was time to act.
He placed the shield on the zipline and slid towards the mountain's base, constantly mindful of speed and timing, while Baki and Dum Dum Bullet immediately followed suit.
However, the train's speed was much faster than the guerrillas' intelligence had indicated, and in the end, only four, including Steve and Baki, successfully got onto the roof.
Dum Dum Bullet didn't make it; his round body found balancing on the rooftop difficult.
He initially felt he was stepping onto the roof, but then he slipped and fell onto the tracks, the icy rails almost knocking the breath out of him.
He struggled to get up immediately, but the train was already far ahead, leaving only some blue hot steam puffing from the engine, gradually dissipating with the wind.
He angrily removed his hat, flinging it to the ground, cursing as he watched the rapidly departing train, praying for the captain and others' safety.
The plan was troubled from the start, with a significant gap between guerrilla intelligence and reality.
After Steve used the shield to smash open a carriage door, they rushed in, only to find it full of Hydra soldiers.
Steve and Baki looked across, while the soldiers opposite, wearing anti-toxic masks, stared back at them.
The atmosphere felt silent, but soon the carriage filled with the 'buzzing' sound of weapon charging, with some blue lights growing blindingly bright.
"Fire!"
"Angriff!"
The Hydra lieutenant on the opposite side and Steve almost issued the orders simultaneously, and in the next second, the carriage erupted in sound.
The blue energy weapons and fire-spitting Thompson submachine gun fiercely clashed in the narrow space.
Steve held the shield in front of his chest as he charged the opponent, while Baki found a machine as cover, hiding behind it to support Steve.
One of their companions was hit by the enemy and instantly turned into a puddle of white ash.
Baki immediately fired to avenge his comrade, after which the enemies sought revenge for their fallen as well, forcing Baki to roll and crawl under a chair, unable to lift his head.
But Steve had already charged into the crowd, slamming the shield into the enemies with one hand, occasionally pulling out his gun with the other to fire.
Left punch, right shield, he tried to bring down the enemies as quickly as possible.
Finally, all enemies were eliminated, leaving only Steve and Baki standing.
The gale outside howled through the car door, making it almost impossible for the two to hear each other, with only the snowflakes blowing up from the tracks creeping down their necks.
However, having grown up together, they didn't even need a glance to know what the other was thinking, as they continued their mission.
Carriage after carriage, apart from numerous experimental products, were filled with incomprehensible equipment.
They were still searching for their target, Dr. Zola.
They found him, Dr. Zola locked himself in a carriage, winking at them from behind the car door.
"Captain America, you've been tricked, this is a trap I've meticulously prepared for you!"
After speaking, and unsure which button he pressed, their carriage's retreat was sealed by a door.
From the carriage wall emerged several large armored figures holding energy weapons.
They seemed speechless but undoubtedly capable of shooting, as the new energy weapons, reminiscent of cannons, immediately targeted the pair.
Steve used the shield to provide some cover for Baki, letting him find a place to hide, and then tried to rush forward and engage these monsters in close combat.
Yes, monsters.
Approximately three meters tall, weighing over 400 pounds with the heavy armor, this data wasn't normal for humans.
Things did not look good; Steve could only entangle one of the giants, while the remaining three were impossible to stop, Baki's submachine gun shots unable to even spark off them.
They wore black heavy armor, with Hydra's large symbol on their chests shining in vivid red.
The next volley from their foes blasted a large hole in the carriage's outer wall, sending Baki flying out.
Outside was an endless cliff.
"No!"
Steve's eyes went red with rage, going nearly mad.
He kicked the enemies away frantically, turning to run to the opening, peeping out.
He saw Baki hadn't fallen, instead being lifted by the collar, floating in the air.
"Don't throw rubbish out the window while on the train, it's basic manners."
A hoarse voice, carrying a hint of laughter, cracked a not-so-funny joke.
"Deathstroke!"
"That's right, it's me, don't shout so loud, I'm not deaf yet."
Su Ming tossed Baki into Steve's arms, watching the two gaze at each other passionately, sighing.
Did he get intelligence from Peggy and travel such a distance just to watch these two in a daze during combat?
"Make way; don't act out brotherly love dramas on the battlefield, it's deadly."
He pushed past Steve, blocking the opening, crawling into the carriage.
Right away, he was greeted by Hydra's barrage.
He flung Steve and Baki into a corner, dodging the attack with a back bridge, his cloak instantly carrying him into the enemy ranks.
Though not as fast as Barry, this short-distance high-speed movement was enough to keep such level enemies from reacting.
Drawing his scimitar, a bright white light flashed, and four enemy heads fell.
"Tsk."
These guys weren't fully human; Hydra apparently made some new tech advancements, or perhaps they inherited some of Conqueror Kang's legacy.
These monstrosities seemed like empty shells of steel, with only biological heads, and bodies entirely metallic.
After decapitation, their neck stumps continuously sparked, resembling fireworks.
"Quite catchy." Su Ming effortlessly dismantled a few doors, dragging Dr. Zola out, "Your invention?"
"Don't kill me! I surrender!"
Su Ming smacked his lips; there were pros and cons to killing Dr. Zola, as he needed to go to the future S.H.I.E.L.D. to study computer networks and space technology.
Though a villain, he's useful for technological advancement.
"He's surrendered, don't kill him." Steve recovered, stepping forward with his shield, cautiously eyeing Su Ming.
His memory lingered on the last time he was flung with a move, and now Deathstroke seemed even more daunting.
"He's all yours; I'm here for something else, don't block my way."
Su Ming found an excuse to take some of Dr. Zola's research reports, and as he left, casually took Dr. Zola's glasses, placing them on Baki's nose.
"Today you nearly died; cherish this new life."
Indeed, from now on, you're the new Baki! Quickly convert into a comedic role!
With rounded glasses on, Baki didn't dare move, but he found wisdom in those words.
Su Ming struggled to hold his laughter as he flew out from the carriage opening.
