Killer Tomato, break!
The Rattlesnake wrapped its body around the tomato, and with sharp fangs, it bit through. Killer Tomato burst open with a pop, but immediately a golden light flew out from Yugen's deck.
"From the deck, Special Summon in Attack Position the Dark Attribute 'Black Forest Witch' with an Attack Power below 1500."
The black-robed witch appeared on the field, her eyes gently closed, and her long purple hair softly draped down.

Kobra said, "Set a card face down, and my turn is over."
"Then it's my turn, draw." Yugen said, "Summon 'Leader - Zarug'."
The card of the one-eyed bandit leader appeared, and then the monster emerged from the golden glow released by the card. He half-knelt on the ground, skillfully spinning the revolver like a cowboy, striking a cool pose as he landed.

"Zarug attacks 'Snake Venom Rattlesnake'.
"Hey, leave it to me!"
Zarug stood tall, stepping forward, firing two shots from the revolver. The bullets pierced through the thick scales of the Rattlesnake, and it burst open with a pop.

"That didn't hurt at all." Kobra exclaimed, "Then activate the Set card, Trap Card 'Snake Whistle'!
This card can be activated when a Reptile Race monster on your field is destroyed. Special Summon a Reptile Race monster with four stars or below from your deck to your field."
Kobra drew a card from the deck, searched through it, and selected a card.
"I Special Summon 'Snake Venom Cobra'!"
The monster was placed on the duel disc, and a giant cobra covered in hard scales appeared on his field, coiling into a mound that looked almost like a fortress as it lay low.

Next to him, Ammon adjusted his glasses: "Professor Kobra's duel disc is an older model that requires manual searching and shuffling."
Kobra glanced at him, a bit perplexed: "So what?"
"Nothing much," Ammon smiled, "but the new model is better."
Yes, it's a hard-learned lesson. Ammon had already decided that regardless of anything, when he returned, he would use all the connections of the financial group to buy a new type of duel disc from the Kaiba Group, one that could automatically shuffle the cards.
Otherwise, you'd be at a disadvantage against those with dark and twisted minds...
"Ridiculous." Kobra muttered.
"Defense Power of two thousand, impressive. At this rate, my Black Forest Witch won't stand a chance." Yugen said, "However, the effect of 'Leader - Zarug'.

Yugen gestured with a flick of his finger.
"I choose the latter. Now, Professor, destroy your hand card."
Zarug couldn't hold back anymore and chuckled: "Can't wait."
As he spoke, the revolver was already drawn, and with a bang, a bullet made a clear hole in one of Kobra's hand cards. Under the projection effect, the card shattered into pieces of golden light.
"Tsk, just as rumored, such sinister tactics."
Kobra snorted coldly.
"Then my turn, draw a card."
He glanced at the card he drew, but instead of adding it to his hand, he looked up at Yugen before activating it.
"This turn, witness the terror of my Snake Venom Deck!
First, activate the Magic Card 'Snake Rain'!
This card allows you to discard one hand card to send four Reptile Race monsters from the deck to the graveyard!"
Creating such an overpowered card, known for its described strength alone, there's rarely something this abnormally powerful across the whole Yu-Gi-Oh! card pool. With just one card, it can perfectly bury four cards from the deck in the cemetery; if it were for a Warrior Race or Dragon Race, it would have already reached the sky.
Yet, a Magic Card with such terrifying individual performance has gone without honor in the proverbial little black house despite many years. This shows just how wasted the Reptile Race has been in the Yu-Gi-Oh! environment, such that even with such a nuclear-level trump card, it's ignored by the K Society...
Kobra selected four Reptile cards from the deck and sent them to the graveyard, then continued.
"Moreover, the hand card I just discarded was the Magic Card 'Card of Compensation'. This card allows you to send it from the hand to the graveyard and then draw two cards from the deck." (Original Card)
Kobra drew two more cards.
Zarug gritted his teeth: "Damn, I barely managed to get rid of one of his hand cards..."
"That's how the card-drawing engine of this world works." Yugen was already used to it, not only accustomed but perfectly integrated.
"Next, activate the Equipment Magic 'Sacrificial Burial Goods'!" Kobra said, "Equip this card to 'Snake Venom Cobra'.
The monster equipped with this card can treat the Equipment Magic equipped to it as one tribute monster for an Upper-level Summon!" (Original Card)

"Then, it's the Continuous Magic 'Netherworld's Treasure Scroll'!
Whenever performing an Upper-level Summon by sacrificing two or more monsters, draw two cards from the deck."
With preparations completed, Kobra clenched his right fist tightly.
"So, I treat 'Snake Venom Cobra' and the 'Sacrificial Burial Goods' equipped to it as two sacrifice tributes!

The bog-like mire expanded with continuously bubbling green, seemingly toxic. A terrifying darkness rose, slowly materializing amid the poisonous smoke.
A cobra-like head, with another small snake head on top. Glowing with eerie red eyes, a cloak draped down its back. Its upper body appeared standing like a human, while its lower body was still a coiling serpent form, and its bright red cloak seemed soaked with blood.

Known for only one recorded battle in the entire animated series, Professor Kobra's deck, or rather his ace monster, stirred quite a sensation back then, even inspiring a considerable crowd of real card players attempting to emulate him, trying to summon his ace in reality using acrobatic constructs.
The allure of Kobra's deck aside, just looking at this Poisonous Snake King as an eight-star monster with both Attack Power and Defense Power at 0, you can imagine its strength.
"Since I performed an Upper-level Summon by sacrificing two monsters, I activate the effect of 'Netherworld's Treasure Scroll', drawing two cards from the deck."
Kobra drew two cards.
"Although Poisonous Snake King Vinomirion's Attack Power is 0, his Attack Power increases by 500 points for each Reptile Race monster in my graveyard!
Currently, I have Rattlesnake, Cobra, and the four Reptiles sent to the graveyard by 'Snake Rain', so Poisonous Snake King Vinomirion's Attack Power becomes..."
