Chapter 635 - Chapter 611: The Sun

In Little Lobster's dictionary, there's no such word as fear. He quickly pulled himself together, determined to use his own strength to show all these mortals who did not know the vastness of the universe his might, to see how their king would be defeated, and to feel the despairing darkness.

"My turn, draw card!" said Tragodia, "Magic Card 'Pot of Magic Book', both sides draw three cards from their decks."

"Then activate the Magic Card 'Trap Disassembly'. It can destroy the Trap Card on the field. Let's deal with that troublesome trap first."

He pointed to the Trap Card in Yugen's back row.

"Continuous Trap 'Super Gravity Net'!"

The Trap Card was struck by a beam of golden light, and the card shattered into pieces. The gravity restrictions shrouding the field vanished instantly, and attack restrictions were lifted as well.

Little Lobster felt slightly relieved.

Super Gravity Net, said to prevent both sides from attacking, but the opposing Phantom Demon cuts through without any restriction. In reality, the gravity binding only restrained himself.

First, get rid of this troublesome trap to continue the attack.

"Then activate the Continuous Magic 'Netherworld's Treasure Scroll'," said Tragodia, "when you successfully perform a sacrifice summon with two or more monsters, you can draw two cards from your deck."

Yugen glanced at the two Dorudoras on Tragodia's field and understood, "Is it coming out?"

The two sacrifices are ready, and coupled with a special Magic for upper-level summons, it's obvious that these two will be used for an upper-level summon.

Combining with the ace card in Little Lobster's comic, then what's coming on stage now could only be...

"Indeed."

Tragodia raised the card in his hand and shouted loudly.

"I use the two 'Dorudora' on the field as sacrifices for an upper-level summon!

The final chapter of the Planet Series——

——Supreme Sun, summon!!"

It was as if an unprecedented golden light illuminated the sky, a light strong enough to penetrate everything between heaven and earth. The deep night was dispelled, and the land was shrouded in a strangely splendid glow, as if a shining miracle had descended into reality.

This is the embodiment of the sun, as if the star of the solar system had descended to earth, transformed into a humanoid form. It donned heavy armor, its expressionless face exuding a certain divinity. Those eyes were like two brilliant stars, seemingly perceiving the essence of everything in the world.

Yet, the dazzling golden light only made Professor Mackenzie's face even darker when he stood with his back to the sun, the strong light behind him making him appear even more ominous and indistinct. It's as if only extreme light can highlight ultimate darkness.

Supreme Sun, summon!

[Supreme Sun, Attack Power 3000]

"The core of the Planet Series, the only Fixed Star card...."

Judai's heart burned with excitement, and whether it was an illusion or not, he vaguely felt as though the Earth Hero in his card deck was restless.

Asuka, who had appeared at some point, also said: "I can feel this monster harbors extraordinary power."

Judai remained silent.

But after traveling with Yugen for so long, Judai understood that the power of Duel Monsters was not just reflected in attack values or effect strengths, those concrete numeric values represented in a duel through textual data.

He now understood better that sometimes the strength of a monster is a reflection of metaphysics, inherent within the monster itself. Some cards, just by holding them, can grant the duelist great powers. If summoned during a duel, they can enable the duelist to conquer all, as if divinely guided in drawing cards.

For instance, the Blood Demon D, once possessed by the Light of Destruction in GX, is just such a card. The perpetrator who murdered Ed's father and took the Blood Demon D card had been pursued by Ed for years without any news, indicating that the person never used the Blood Demon D in public duels after claiming the card.

Yet, even so, they climbed to the championship position, becoming a leader in the Professional Duel League. Clearly, just having the Blood Demon D in hand could endow a previously ordinary duelist with extraordinary power.

At this moment, Supreme Sun is just such a card.

Moreover, the wielder of the sun is not an originally ordinary duelist, but a terrifying demon king already possessing ultimate darkness.

Of course, compared to Little Lobster, the current Yugen isn't one to be underestimated. In the face of the Fixed Star Sun, the Three Phantom Demons as top-tier Elves are also a match.

"Of course, due to the summoning of Supreme Sun, Rabiel's effect is also activated," Yugen said, "summon another Phantom Demon Derivative on the field."

[Phantom Demon Derivative, Defense Power 0]

"The effect of Netherworld's Treasure Scroll, performing a sacrifice summon with two or more monsters, therefore I draw two cards from the deck."

Tragodia drew two cards.

Then immediately played another card from his hand.

"Continuous Magic 'Survival Treasure Scroll'!"

Yugen raised an eyebrow.

Goodness, another formidable card has arrived.

A card once used by Malik against Game with the Sky Dragon. The animation effect allowed drawing three cards from the deck each time a monster was revived from the graveyard.

The physical card was revised to allow drawing only one card. But there's a difference, in the animation it was a mandatory effect, while the physical card allows optional activation. Ultimately, Malik suffered because both the Survival Treasure Scroll and Traitorous Dragon's Thunder Summoning Bullet had mandatory activations, which is why he was infinitely looped by Game and ran out of his deck.

"Survival Treasure Scroll, when a monster is revived on the field, I can draw a card from the deck," said Tragodia.

Draw one... the physical card effect, huh?

Yugen understood. Many cards, including Artificial Human Soga, were altered from animation effects to physical card effects from the DM to the GX era, and through his previous research into the field of card printing, he also realized that this might be due to differences in card printing processes occurring with different manufacturers and designers.

This Survival Treasure Scroll of Little Lobster appears to be a different version from Mr. Malikma's back in the day, still maintaining some integrity... but then again, it's no surprise. After all, back then most of Mr. Malikma's cards were self-printed by their fake card company Gulus.

"Then activate the Magic Card 'Black Hole'!"

Tragodia shouted.

"Destroy all monsters present on the field!"

A destructive celestial body opened in the sky, a Black Hole like the gaping maw of a bloodthirsty abyss in the starlit sky, with endless gravity seemingly devouring everything between heaven and earth!

"Magic should be effective on Phantom Demons," said Tragodia, "your Phantom Demons, let me wipe them out all at once!"

Indeed. The Phantom Demons do not have the invulnerability to destruction like the Phantom Gods in the animation, so magic activated this turn is effective.

"Activate Cover Card, Speed Attack Magic 'Forbidden Holy Spear'," Yugen said, "reduce one monster's attack power on the field by 800 until the end of the turn, but it won't be affected by any magic or trap card effects other than this one."

"Oh, indeed, the Phantom Demons this turn will also accept the protection of this magic," said Tragodia, "but you can only protect one."

"I know," Yugen said, "reduce the 'Thunder Emperor Harmon' attack power by 800, so Harmon will not be affected by other effects this turn."
