Chapter 589 - Chapter 321: Tempting Ninja Sect Inheritance (Part 3)

Nagato had developed some goodwill towards Mokgetsu because Mokgetsu was genuinely taking action and not just talking.

Konan also liked Mokgetsu quite a bit. Mokgetsu had a warm smile and even noticed she liked origami, so he gave her a paper crane.

By the twentieth day of Mokgetsu's tour around the Ninja World, only seventy-two ninjas were left following him. About half of them were selected by Mokgetsu beforehand, some were Akatsuki members led by Yahiko, and the remainder were ninjas chosen due to the fame of the Ninja Master.

After conducting a final check to ensure there were no issues, Mokgetsu officially began his lessons.

As these seventy-two ninjas varied greatly in skill, with the weakest being the most ordinary Genin, Mokgetsu started teaching Chakra Control, beginning with tree climbing and walking on water.

Those who mastered these skills were allowed to train freely until Mokgetsu had time to provide further guidance.

At most, Mokgetsu had specially trained nearly seven hundred students in Konoha, so teaching seventy-two people was quite easy, allowing him to ensure everyone was taken care of.

Many ninjas were very excited as it had been a long ordeal, and they were finally seeing the reward.

The past twenty days hadn't been a leisurely tour; it was more like tough cultivation.

"If those who left knew how skilled Sosuke was in teaching, they'd probably regret it and want to smack themselves." For those who stayed, the fruits of persistence were exceptionally sweet.

Teaching Chakra Control wasn't much, but when Mokgetsu began teaching Chakra Nature Changes and Ninjutsu, the remaining ninjas once again felt fortunate about their decision.

Mokgetsu's performance was truly astounding; he could effortlessly demonstrate all Chakra Attribute Nature Changes, even Nagato was amazed by this.

Nagato could only see through the Rinnegan that Mokgetsu's Chakra wasn't simple, not expecting Mokgetsu to master all seven Chakra Nature Changes; Nagato had only mastered six and hadn't grasped Yin Attribute Chakra Nature Changes.

They thought such a Mokgetsu was already exceptional, but it turned out he was also a Fuinjutsu expert, teaching them seal knowledge they had never encountered before.

This was the benefit of teaching outside; Mokgetsu could teach whatever he wanted and earn whatever rewards he desired.

Out of respect for Mokgetsu, many ninjas began to call him Sosuke-sensei.

When Mokgetsu and his group reached a village near the Rain Village, a squad of Rain Ninjas stopped them.

"Sosuke-sama, Hanzo-sama wishes to meet you, please come with us to the Rain Village," the Jonin of the Rain Village said respectfully.

He was the same Jonin who had gone to Xiaozhen Village to investigate Mokgetsu and had witnessed his strength.

Additionally, with the recent rumors about Mokgetsu, as a person of the Land of Rain, he admired Mokgetsu's actions.

"Only you can go," the Rain Village Jonin added.

Mokgetsu's group had quite a few ninjas, seventy-three in total, including Mokgetsu. It was unlikely Hanzo would inexplicably allow so many non-Ninja Village ninjas into the Rain Village.

"Let me discuss it with my companions," Mokgetsu did not provide an immediate answer.

Personally, he thought it was worth going because Kurosaki Ichigo had already become a Chunin in the Rain Village, and Mokgetsu had learned some information about the place.

Moreover, considering Mokgetsu's strength, if he wanted to leave, there was truly no one in the Rain Village who could stop him.

However, Mokgetsu knew about his own strength, his followers weren't as sure, so to consider their feelings, he needed to discuss it.

"I don't think you should go, Sosuke-sensei. Perhaps Hanzo has designs on your Ninja Sect inheritance," Ike Masaya thought Hanzo had ulterior motives.

Although Ike was also from the Land of Rain, he had a rather average impression of Hanzo.

Some ninjas nodded, understanding the concept that carrying something precious could invite trouble, a notion well understood by wandering ninjas.

"I believe Hanzo isn't that kind of person. Even if it's a ninja from an enemy village, as long as it's a junior he admires, he'd spare their life. Such a Hanzo wouldn't be after Sosuke-brother's Ninja Sect inheritance," Yahiko retorted.

Unlike Ike, Yahiko had a favorable view of Hanzo, considering him a true strongman.

"What if you're wrong? Sosuke-sensei would be in danger, and even if you're not wrong, there wouldn't be much to gain," Ike argued that it was a highly unwise decision.

Though Yahiko was much stronger, Ike had come to know Yahiko as a broad-minded person through those twenty days, so he wasn't worried about being resented for his rebuttal.

Yahiko was at a loss for words; Ike had a point. Mokgetsu going alone to the Rain Village had costs and gains that didn't add up.

"I really appreciate your concern, but try to believe in me a bit more. It'll be okay," Mokgetsu said with a grin.

Seeing Mokgetsu had decided to go to the Rain Village, Ike said nothing more.

He put his faith in Mokgetsu first; since Mokgetsu said it would be alright, he believed Mokgetsu had the capability to handle any potential risks.

Then Mokgetsu followed the Rain Ninjas to the Rain Village.

The architecture of the Rain Village had a remarkably different style from Konoha.

The buildings in the Hidden Rain Village primarily used steel with stone as a secondary material, and the entire village was crisscrossed with steel pipes of various sizes, likely due to the frequent rainfall in the area.

Hanzo chose not to meet Mokgetsu in the Rain Village's leader's office but at one of the Rain Ninja's training grounds.

"Hanzo-sama, this is Sosuke, who is known as the Ninja Master," the Rain Village Jonin reported.
