"That's not happening!" he bellowed with a nearly hoarse voice, "Doomking Balerdroch's effect! When an Undead-Type monster activates its effect, once per turn, I can negate that effect!"
He paused then chuckled coldly, "As long as the Field Magic 'Zombie World' is on the field, all monsters on both sides of the field and graveyard become Undead-Type... you haven't forgotten, have you?"
Youyu squinted his eyes, "You're saying that any monster effect can be negated... is that right?"
"As expected of the Duel King, you catch on quick." Bakura raised his hand, "So sorry, but your hero's ability is blocked!"
In the field, eerie mist gathered around like coils of a serpent, ensnaring Airman's body and tying him up tight. Airman groaned, unable to move.
He seemed to struggle mightily, the turbines on his metal wings whirring at full speed, emitting buzzes of free-spinning sound, sparks of electricity jumping from his armor, but ultimately unable to break free.
Bakura sneered, "Now, can you still go on?"
Youyu glanced at the silenced Hero, ignoring him.
But the answer was... of course he could.
"Activate the Magic Card - Polymerization from my hand!" The interrupted Youyu was unfazed, "I'll fuse the Wind Attribute 'Elemental Hero Airman' on the field with the 'Elemental Hero Liquidman' in my hand!
The fusion requirement is, an Elemental Hero plus any Wind Attribute monster, Fusion Summon!
Riding the gale, the all-transforming tornado destroys everything—

The heroes of wind and water turned into beams of light and flew into the vortex, the elemental energy erupted, mixed with the suffocating storm power! In the undead field, the atmosphere suddenly changed, the purple-black mist swirling into turmoil. The tornado hero descended with arms folded, carried by the hurricane, his cloak billowing in the wind.

Youyu drew cards, selected one to discard, and then continued with the effect.
"Great Tornado's effect." Youyu stated, "When successfully summoned, all opposing monsters' attack and defense points are halved!
Thus, Doomking Balerdroch's attack points are halved!"
The tornado hero gestured, as if a conductor waving his baton. The symphony of the storm began to play, the whistling tornado nearly uprooting the massive body of Doomking from the ground.
The fierce wind concealed a ferocious, violent beast!

But at this moment, one of Doomking's previously closed eyes opened!
From within the pitch-black storm shot out a red beam, slicing fiercely through the curtain of wind, leaving a long, smoke-emitting scar in space, aiming to cut down the tornado hero!
"Doomking Balerdroch's other effect!" Bakura announced, "When an Undead-Type monster activates an effect, once per turn, I can banish one monster on the field or in the graveyard from the game!"
He raised his hand pointing directly at the hero commanding the storm.
"Disappear now! Great Tornado!"
Even to this day, disrupting and interrupting the opponent's actions during their turn remains one of the core essences of the Yu-Gi-Oh card game.
With the backing of "Zombie World", able to negate one monster effect per opponent's turn and also having banishment power, "Doomking Balerdroch" is undoubtedly a superweapon in the current environment.
No wonder Bakura places such high hopes on this monster.

"Quick-Play Magic - Mask Change!" Youyu responded immediately, "Send the hero monster on the field to the graveyard to transform into a Masked Hero of the same attribute!
