Youyu stared at the Millennium Eyes that Bakura tossed to him, somewhat in a daze.
Remembering the anime plot, Bakura seemed to have thrown the Millennium Eyes to the president before the Egypt arc?
In the anime, this Millennium Eyes was essentially Bakura's invitation for the president to participate in the "Ultimate Darkness Game." President Haima took this Divine Artifact to the tablet of the "King's Memory" stored in Egypt, and through it, entered the Ultimate Darkness Game between him and Bakura.
From another perspective, this thing might be considered a special invitation ticket.

This isn't a compulsory task, and buttons for "Accept" and "Decline" appear at the bottom of the panel.

Youyu was initially planning to participate in the plot of the King's Memory arc.
Although not everyone can partake in this chapter's storyline, in the former Linked World, there were players who did.
The Linked World of past lives didn't have an NPC idol like Youyu, beloved for looks and strength, so there were many more players around the game than now.
Although Yugi generally treated these fools like ardent fans, the sheer number and silver tongues meant that several managed to raise their favorability slightly, increasing their presence to Yugi.
According to the storyline, before Yugi set off for Egypt, players with enough favorability had a certain chance of joining Yugi and his friends' Egyptian tour group, accompanying the game to tackle the final main quest together.
In the anime plot, Dark Yugi showcased the Three Egyptian God Cards before the tablet, then flew alone into the tablet to enter the Memory World. Subsequently, his friends found the door to the Memory World in the "Heart Room" of the Millennium Pendant through the power of their bonds and joined him.
Back then, the only way for players to participate in this plot was to tag along with Yugi's friends through the "Heart Room" of the Millennium Pendant to enter the Memory World with them.

Much like the Three Egyptian God Cards, the more powerful the item, the more they act aloof. It's as if letting just anyone wield them would make them seem like ordinary, uninterested Divine Artifacts, reducing their prestige, so they tend to feign indifference, not easily allowing strangers on board.
