Chapter 536 - Chapter 508: Bakura Ryou

Bakura: "!?"

What's up with this guy?

How did he find his way here? Why wasn't he lured into my trap?

The vanguard he sent, Amir, did truthfully tell Youyu the current location of the Doma headquarters, but Bakura had already evacuated from that address and set a trap there waiting for Youyu.

In other words, he had already anticipated that Youyu would trace the clues through Amir, so he deliberately released false information as bait.

So there's no reason for this guy to be here!

Could it be... that he anticipated my anticipation?

At this moment, seeing the legendary Duel King appear at the gate, with a commanding Masked Hero before him, the countless Doma lackeys in the hall were all frightened.

Duel King!

And the Duel King who defeated Mr. Dartz, whom they regarded as the supreme ruler!

If compared to fantasy, Doma might be the world's top sect, and Dartz the grandmaster with thousands of years of cultivation. And Youyu is that typical protagonist who beats their grandmaster up twice, and those underlings who regard the grandmaster as a deity wouldn't dare to even say a word when they see him...

There it is, as Youyu stepped forward, the lackeys avoided him like the plague, moving to both sides, even bowing their heads, not daring to meet his gaze.

Some even decided, deep down, if the Duel King glanced at them, they'd quickly remove their Duel Discs and offer them in surrender...

In the vast hall, the black-robed Doma Duelists stepped back voluntarily, making way. With each step Youyu took, a small path opened up before him, akin to the Red Sea splitting before Moses.

The players outside the gate recorded and captured screenshots.

Now that's the presence of a Duel King!

He repels the enemies without even needing to act!

Even Youyu hadn't expected things to proceed so smoothly. He brought this crew of utility player characters, thinking that some remaining Doma riffraff might at least put up symbolic resistance. But unexpectedly, they didn't even need to battle; these people directly chickened out...

Though summoned was the Wind form of the Masked Hero, the Dark Magician Girl was also hovering next to him in a semi-transparent state.

In the past, it would usually be him summoning her, wouldn't it....

Gradually losing favor.JPG.

But after all, Youyu's signature is the Masked Hero. Like Judai, despite having a whole bunch of spirits, would always use Neos to beat people up, the Masked Hero is Youyu's identification.

Being the signature Duel King from the Hero series, if the spirit following him around were always the Dark Magician Girl, and she handled everything, then the style might seem a bit mismatched...

Seeing his newly acquired bunch of subordinates all admit defeat, Bakura couldn't help but sneer.

"Tch, a bunch of useless losers."

He stood, extending his palm.

"Out of my way!"

The Millennium Ring gleamed with a golden light, dark forces with golden ripples erupted, instantly blowing away the riffraff before him.

He leaped down the steps and stood before Youyu.

"Hmph." Bakura smirked, "It's impressive that you found this place, Duel King."

"Even though the Nightwalker World usually has an unserious style, underestimating our intelligence network would surely cause headaches." Youyu sighed, "Trying to deceive me with such simple tricks, it seems I've really been underestimated..."

His words paused briefly, his eyes flickering.

"...The Great Evil God Sock, isn't it?"

Bakura's smile instantly faded, his eyes flashed with a brief surprise, then narrowed.

"How much do you know?"

"Enough." Youyu smiled.

Bakura stared at him, his expression shifting unpredictably for a moment, then pulled his lips into a smile again.

This was the first time since waking in the modern era that someone discovered his true identity. The unnamed Pharaoh, the reborn Priest, and the generational Tomb Guardians couldn't see through the true nature of the evil spirit residing in Bakura.

Yet this Duel King knew!

This made Bakura regard Youyu even more seriously.

He was now almost one hundred percent certain, this person... absolutely has significant background!

"...Hmph, interesting." Bakura opened the Duel Disc on his arm, "Even though it's not according to plan, let me deal with you here ahead of schedule."

Come on! Duel King, let me personally test your depth!"

What a terrible line.

Youyu muttered inwardly but didn't reject the suggestion.

After all, he came precisely for this.

"Duel!" x2

[Youyu, LP 4000]

[Bakura, LP 4000]

The players behind them, already excited to see Bakura Ryou, widened their eyes in anticipation, seeing Youyu and him start directly battling.

BOSS Battle!

Youyu-san directly facing Yu-Gi-Oh! DM's ultimate BOSS!

The excitement levels couldn't be higher!

Confronting Bakura as an opponent, Youyu didn't dare be careless.

Though in the TV series Bakura was a villain, his record probably just outperformed the weakest Marik by a bit, but as the final BOSS of the entire series, his strength couldn't possibly be weak.

Right now, Bakura has only a fragment of the Great Evil God Sock's soul, even though the mention was limited strength, Youyu estimated his duelist level would be at least level nine if not ten-star.

Another reason causing Youyu concern was his inability to plan against Bakura's Card Deck.

Unfortunately, unlike Dartz who had an entire deck revolving around a single Field card, Bakura in the animation always showcased different strategies, decks, and ace monsters each time he appeared, giving the impression of pulling together a new 40-card deck from a pile, with no discernible pattern.

This total lack of stubbornness, swapping decks like Poseidon swaps girlfriends type of BOSS, posed a greater challenge for Youyu.

"I go first, draw!" Bakura said, "First up, this card, Magic Card - Graceful Charity! Draw three cards from the deck, then select two cards from the hand to discard."

An angel with a halo appeared, granting permission to draw. Bakura drew three cards and quickly selected two to discard.

Graceful Charity, in Yu-Gi-Oh! DM up to Yu-Gi-Oh! GX, was among the most common General Cards; almost every major character had it.

If Youyu remembered correctly, Bakura's decks, though ever-changing, mainly focused on demons and undead-type monsters, often with a peculiar and eerie style, and was relatively reliant on graveyard resources during DM's low graveyard utilization era.

Hence, the two cards discarded to the graveyard with Graceful Charity might be worth noting.

"Next is this card," Bakura sneered, "Watch carefully, the forbidden field where all living beings become undead zombies—

—Field Magic 'Zombie World'!"

Youyu: "!?"
