Millennium Ring!
Amir immediately focused on the young man before him.
Millennium Item, these are almost legendary artifacts among duelists in the Inner World. Anyone recognized by a Millennium Item and able to harness its power can instantly acquire extreme dark power, becoming a ruler who stands above all in the Inner World.
In the past, the Father of Duel Monsters, Pegasus, relied on the Divine Power of the "Millennium Eyes" to suppress any organizations and duelists who challenged him, ascending to become the overlord.
Following that, Marik Ishtar emerged to stir things up, wielding the "Millennium Rod", granting him the overwhelming power to crush most Dark Duelists. At the time, it was with his own strength that he single-handedly transformed the newly formed Ghouls organization into a top-tier dark organization.
Many even say that Duel King Muto Yugi's unbeatable prowess is also linked to the "Millennium Pendant" he wears around his neck for years. Numerous strong opponents, including Pegasus, have been defeated by Muto Yugi, and no one would think he's just a regular kid who happens to be good at card games.
Of course, the prerequisite is that the holder must be able to harness the power of the Divine Artifact.
While Millennium Items are powerful, they are extremely picky. They don't easily recognize a master, and until they are passed to the right master, they might appear as ordinary antique ornaments, without any use.
Amir's mind quickly became active.
Although the young man before him holds the Millennium Ring, Amir has no recollection of him. This means the other party hasn't participated in any public tournaments and hasn't done anything earth-shattering in the Inner World, just an obscure little figure.
In other words, this boy most likely just got lucky, holding the Millennium Ring by chance and unable to unleash its true power!
...To be fair, this white-haired boy—who is actually the host of the Great Evil God Sock, Bakura Ryou—did participate in the Duel City Tournament as a top-eight contestant.
It's just that due to the wealthy and capricious President Haima, the top-eight matches were arranged in the sky, without audience and no broadcasting until reaching the Dueling Tower on Demon Island.
Unfortunately, Bakura didn't make it to the top-four, and thus was lavishly forgotten by the vast audience...
Thus, Amir concluded, "This guy is definitely weak."
He even thought, if he could snatch the Millennium Ring away, wouldn't he soar instantly?
My Doma's revival is hopeful!
By then, with the power of this artifact, reviving the God of Orichalcos is only a matter of time!
Clearly, the uninformed Amir is unaware that within the "Millennium Ring" resides a major boss called the "Great Evil God Sock", even more ruthless than their God of Orichalcos.
If he indeed eagerly used this item to summon his god, even if their god hasn't cooled, it might be scared into taking a deep breath and running away.
While running, it might even curse, "Damn, you're plotting against me!"
"You're using this to summon me, are you planning to feed me to the Great Evil God as a snack?"
Unfortunately, Amir hasn't realized he is gradually moving on a path of self-destruction. He asked, "Who are you?"
"Me? Let me think... My name is Bakura Ryou, at least for now." Bakura said with a smug expression, "You can call me Lord Bakura."
"Ridiculous." Amir reattached the Duel Disc he had just removed out of survival instinct, "It seems you haven't realized your situation... Alright, let me help you understand."
He squinted his eyes, and spoke in a deep voice.
"Come, the duel for souls, the loser will be swallowed by eternal darkness!" Amir spoke, his eyes fixed unwaveringly on the Millennium Ring on Bakura's chest.
He was blatantly conveying a message—
—That's right, I'm really craving your ring.
"Swallowed by eternal darkness?" Bakura threw back his head and laughed loudly.
A look of "If you say that, I won't be sleepy anymore."
"Very well, then come." He licked his lips, raising the Duel Disc on his hand, "But you better not regret it."
"Regret? Haha, it seems you're truly an ignorant little imp." Amir smirked, "Then let me specially tell you who your opponent is."
He activated the Duel Disc, which expanded, with five monster slots clearly outlined by golden lines.
Amir half-turned, with a stern face and a conceited expression.
"In the past, people called me... 'Demon God of Judgment'.
A moment.
"Arghhhh!!!"
The "Demon God of Judgment" (self-claimed), now Doma's leader, Amir, with a scream like a slaughtered pig, flew back in a very graceful arc.
[Amir, LP 0]
...Lost.
Lost cleanly and without a hint of suspense.
"Hahaha!!"
Bakura laughed wildly, the Millennium Ring hanging on his chest suddenly radiated blinding golden brilliance! An overwhelming and terrifying dark power exploded centered on him, like an endless flood from ancient times!
Amir was stunned, as was everyone present.
They'd never witnessed such astonishing dark energy firsthand!
It was as if... as if this boy was the embodiment of darkness itself!
Waves of black swept through the grand hall, shattering the floor, the hall's pillars seemed to be on the brink of collapse, the ceiling seemed ready to fall at any moment.
Amir found he didn't dare to meet the boy's gaze, under such pressure he couldn't even open his eyes, could only helplessly lift his arms to shield his face, screaming in his heart—
——My life is over!
...But it's not.
Suddenly, the howling storm seemed to stop abruptly, and the overwhelming pressure vanished.
Amir raised his head in astonishment, seeing Bakura standing before him with a strange grin.
He paused, hesitating a bit, and asked, "You... didn't kill me?"
"Kill you? Why should I kill you?" Bakura snorted lightly, "You are still useful now. I have some plans, very important plans, and I'll need your cooperation."
Amir's expression shifted several times, pondering for a moment, ultimately complying.
As the saying goes, where there are hills, there's wood. Their revival of Doma is a long-term strategy, no rush for the moment, the key is to endure first.
...In simple terms, he's chickening out.
Seeing the surrounding crowd was silent, seemingly without opinions, Bakura chuckled softly, "Good, very good. Soon you will have a new task."
First, I need some items from you... "
Before he finished speaking, Amir swiftly removed the Duel Disc along with his card deck, quickly handed it to Bakura, "A bit of token respect, please accept, Lord."
Bakura: "???"
Who did he learn this strange habit from?
What the heck do I need your Duel Disc for?
