Using the Navy Headquarters' building as a dividing line, Marinfanto has transformed into two distinct battlefields. In the plaza, the Whitebeard Pirates engage in deadly combat with the Navy elite, while the Seven Warlords of the Sea and some of Kaidou's drifting creatures have also joined in the fray.
Behind the building lies an even more elite hunting ground. Kaidou leaned against the ruins with a gloomy expression, displeased that the battle had been interrupted.
Under such circumstances, Sengoku was hit directly in the chest with the full power of Agni Dragon Dance Hakken. Normally, he wouldn't be so gravely injured; to Sengoku, the Great Buddha's Golden Body is the most solid shield.
As his combat power reached its peak, the breaking of his own shield was a rare occurrence, with the last time being traced back to over ten years ago when Arceus broke through his defense.
But Blackbeard's ability is exceptionally disruptive. Sengoku was originally preparing to fend off Kaidou with his shield, but then his shield suddenly vanished.
His body responded, but it was far from enough. This weakened Sengoku had already diminished Kaidou's fighting spirits.
Kaidou values the process of battle greatly, yet he is flexible. If the battle could decide the future, he would choose to first defeat the opponent in front of him, but later kill anyone who interfered in his battle.
However, this time is different; Sengoku is not his primary target, merely a tool to alleviate his boredom.
The desire to enjoy the process has been ruined, so naturally, Kaidou will not continue. Healing Sengoku or leveling the playing field by harming himself doesn't fit Kaidou's logic.
Thus, he simply watched as Zephyr carried Sengoku temporarily away from the battlefield, observing the direction of King and Blackbeard.
He wants to see what method this anomaly has to survive this time.
At this moment, King's battlefield has also divided into two parts, Pizarro and Blackbeard standing before King, while other Blackbeard Pirates members are blocked by Shaina on the other side.
"Pizarro! Get me out of here, the plan has changed; I can't provoke this guy now!"
Blackbeard's plan has collapsed. Originally, he wanted to team up with Kaidou to scheme something new. Among the Four Emperors, he holds old grudges against Red Hair and violated Whitebeard's iron rules, having offended half of the Four Emperors long ago by killing Thatch.
"There are no eternal enemies, only eternal interests," he believes. Killing Sengoku obviously benefits both sides, which is why Blackbeard would do it.
Blackbeard knows King wants to kill him, but as long as Kaidou agrees to ally, he should be able to stop King, considering Kaidou is King's Captain.
He did not anticipate Kaidou's peculiar thought process; there was no intention to ally at all.
His Dark Acupoint Path could transfer targets but was too slow. Based on King's previous performance, his Dark Acupoint Path wouldn't make it in time.
Pizarro's Isle-Isle Fruit is different. To Pizarro, who consumed the Isle-Isle Fruit, the island is an extension of his own body, making it easy to transfer within the island.
"You're really weak, Teach, frightened already? How about letting me be Captain, meow?"
Though having taken a seismic attack from Kaidou, most of the earthquake's power was absorbed by the island itself, allowing Pizarro to detach timely from the possessed island without major impact.
"Stop talking! Hurry up! You rusted guys from prisons have no idea how scary these outside monsters are! Watch his sword hilt, that maniac has Seastone bullets in the hilt!"
These pirates have spent considerable time in prison, with only Devon sent there by Olga being the most recent entry. Many do not realize what kind of monsters the current Four Emperors are.
Whitebeard and Charlotte Linlin achieved fame early, so they understood fear, but against Red Hair and Kaidou, their fear lessened slightly, having been great pirates themselves, with some confidence in their strength.
"Got it, meow."
These individuals joined Blackbeard to escape from Impel Down, becoming a temporary amalgamation of interests afterward. As ability users, they were still restrained by Blackbeard and so were willing to give him some face, temporarily following his orders.
Pizarro's body began merging into the ground, intending to take Blackbeard underground to flee.
Upon merging underground, the entire island becomes an extension of his body, and while attacking the island is futile, finding his true body within the island is required to inflict effective damage, making it a suitable escape ability.
However, as soon as he merged into the island, a sound pierced the air from behind, not King's slash but a crimson chain.
The other end of the chain was held by Shaina, a sardonic smile on her exposed lips.
"Don't interfere; that one is King's. I'm your opponent."
"Meow hahaha! This is useless; your tiny chain won't hit my body... How... how is this possible..."
Pizarro was well-versed in his ability, having just left his rock-formed face on the surface, but an agonized expression suddenly appeared on that face.
"Tiny chain? You have no idea, this is a creation bestowed by supreme power."
Shaina tightly gripped the chain and pulled upwards, almost lifting half the street. Though it seemed like an ordinary chain, as the spearhead pierced the ground, the form of the crimson chain changed.
The underground part scatters in all directions, with dozens of spikes sprawling over half the street. Pizarro thought he evaded Shaina's attack but didn't know it was merely the prelude to the attack.
As the crimson chain pierced his body, the power left by Arceus in the chain took effect, nullifying Pizarro's Isle-Isle Fruit ability, pulling him out like a dead fish.
Sharp barbs penetrated Pizarro's body, prompting him to cry out in pain, and he was pulled into Shaina's battlefield, thrown directly before other Blackbeard Pirates members.
"Since you've joined that guy, you better be ready to die with him. My dear brother swore with honor. If I let him escape again, I'll truly have no face."
They are currently known as the only surviving Lunarians, possibly with other survivors though none have been discovered by Shaina over the years.
No matter how King has transformed from a weak child into a notorious monster, he remains that younger brother from back then in her heart.
Originally, she wasn't particularly concerned with the Blackbeard situation, King said he would handle it himself. But now that King has sworn, with racial honor, in this scenario, Shaina permits no error.
