The fourth call came with the room already changed.
Three matches had passed. Three floors worth of information had been laid out in front of the remaining students, and the ones who were paying attention had stopped seeing the tournament as an abstract structure and started seeing it as a sequence of real problems they were going to have to solve. The energy in the observation space had shifted in a way that was difficult to name precisely but easy to feel. Quieter than before. More contained. The kind of quiet that came not from disinterest but from too much thought happening at once.
Olmo didn't acknowledge any of it.
