He'd always used air as extension—reach, speed, coverage. Every long burst ended with a landing he couldn't fully control, and every uncontrolled landing was a window handed directly to Tongen. It had taken him longer than he wanted to admit to see that. The instinct ran deep—push farther, move faster, close distance in one committed motion. That instinct had worked everywhere else.
