Vivian gripped her bleeding arm, clenching her jaw. A clean cut had been made, if it wasn't for her brooch cast with a low level protection spell, her arm would've been slit off. Floria froze, "you... why?" She muttered, her voice so low it could barely be heard. Vivian smiled and flicked her forehead, "I spent too much money on you for you to just die, brat" Floria's jaw clenched as she held Vivian's hand. "Your really stupid... you could have died" Floria mutter as the stepped forward, glaring at the remaining attacker, it was a knight of their own, a traitor. Vivian saw Floria's hand, gathering up mana. Then she glanced at her face, it was cold, even scary. "Don't kill him, we need to keep him alive for questioning." Vivian choked out.
Floria lowered down her hand, glaring at the assassin, she tore her gaze away and checked on Vivian's wound. "Don't think I like you or anything, I just hate being indebted." Floria said as she was using healing magic on Vivian's arm. With a slight pout, she was looking away, she was most definitely embarrassed, you could see the slight blush on her face.
Later, the royal guards arrive. Turns out since the commotion took place in forest often used as a round about way to the duchy and a common hunting ground by the royals, this kind of incident would be thoroughly investigated.
Soon the royal guards arrived, along with their vice-captain, Sir Kade. The captain looked around and spotted the young lady, not knowing who she was, he tried to pressure her to keep her silent about this. "Young miss, judging by how severely the blood your clothes are, it looks like you must be too poor and uninfluential to hire proper knights, at least you could hire an adequate healer" He said in smug confidence, internally, he thought, *Looks like I can sweep this under the rug, she'll be too down in ranking to dare try anything with the royal guards. This seriously had to happen while I just got my promotion*
Vivian smirked, clearly amused by his lack of decorum, "Do you even know who I am, you barbarian?" She stood, even the emperor threaded carefully around the Neptine dukedom, so a mere royal knight should be grateful to just lay eyes on the crown prince's betrothed and the eldest of the Dukedom of Neptine, but clearly this buffoon had not the slightest clue who he was talking to. The vice-captain clenched his jaw and raised his voice, "HOW DARE YOU CALL ME A BARBARIAN, YOU BI**H! I am the vice captain of the royal guards! You must be some meager country bumpkin who thinks she can act all high and mighty in the capita-" Vivian cut him off, her voice sharp, her face cold. "Then let me introduce myself as well, lowly barbarian, I am Vivian Neptine. The only daughter of the wolf of the north" The knight froze, terror painted on his face, *C-could she truly be the infamous Vivian? No, that's impossible, the duchy has portals so why would she travel by carri-* "Oh, and just so you know, the portal was damaged due to monsters, hence the carriage"
Vivian then proceeded to point to the carriage, calmly checking on Fiona in the background. Kade's eyes grew wide, in the midst of the wreckage and destroyed carriage, the emblem of the Neptine ducky was visible without the slightest scratch, he immediately felt a sense of fear rush over him, "P-princess! Forgive me! I have committed the greatest discourtesy! I-if you spare me I shall never -forget the favor! I-i will pay you ba-" Vivian scoffed, half amused, half pissed, internally, she thought, *Wow, my reputation is worse than I thought, but... I might be able to take care of this jerk with just that* "What could I, the daughter of duke Neptine, possibly need from you?" She began slowly, then continued, "Your just a lowly, uncultured, egotistical-" Each word hit harder on the knight, his face red with embarrassment and anger at the insults, Before Vivian could finish, a voice cut through-
