(KRYSTAL'S POV)
I have a very bad feeling in my gut.
The kind that keeps twisting deeper and deeper the closer we get to Salvatore's study.
There's no way this is good.
Salvatore wanting me, Angelo, and Raffaele to come see him right after everything that happened with Val last night can only mean one thing.
"What if Val told him everything?" I ask quietly.
Angelo and Raffaele don't say a word, and it makes me feel much worse than I already do.
I look at Angelo first, then Raffaele. The look on their faces mirrors the exact same dread crawling up my spine.
The hallway feels too long as we keep walking. Every step makes my legs feel heavier, and by the time the brothers finally stop in front of a pair of double doors, I feel like I might actually throw up.
"This is it," Raffaele mutters under his breath.
As I stare at the doors my hands start shaking.
I don't even notice it until Angelo reaches for one of them and holds it firmly, stopping the tremor.
