Chapter 283: Obtaining the Blueprints, Visiting the Ruhr Region
On July 1, 1910, Arthur left London port aboard the Australasia battleship, waved off by many British citizens. From the expressions of the British people bidding him farewell, it was clear that many felt reluctant to see him go. After all, Arthur was considered a part of the Victoria era.

However, Arthur had no intention of sharing the Saint Vincent battleship's blueprints with Germany. The region's industrial layout was also quite rational. Most industrial and mining products were processed and consumed locally, minimizing unnecessary transportation.
Although the two world wars would significantly affect the region, by the 1970s, the Ruhr still produced 120 million tons of coal, 80% of Germany's total output, and 20 million tons of steel, which accounted for 70% of the national output. Australasia's Leonora Industrial Base was partly modeled on the Ruhr. Arthur's goal was to develop the Leonora base into Australasia's version of the Ruhr.

Arthur's request was modest. If the Leonora base could reach just 10% of the Ruhr's current output within ten years, he would be satisfied with the progress.
Wilhelm II smiled and readily agreed, as this was a common request for national development, and given the good relations between Germany and Australasia, there was no reason to refuse.
It is worth noting that Wilhelm II proudly invited Arthur to visit Germany's airship factory, specifically the Zeppelin factory.

Arthur inquired about the stability of the LZ-5 and learned that it had been proven to be exceptionally stable, with hundreds of tests confirming its reliability. Given its increased capacity, speed, and stability, the LZ-5 had become a highly practical and useful tool.
Wilhelm II was convinced by Arthur's suggestion that airships could carry bombs and conduct aerial bombings, even going so far as to form an airship squadron dedicated to precision bombing.
Arthur could only smile awkwardly at this, knowing that airships were not as useful as airplanes, which could easily destroy airships in combat.
