Chapter 1640 - Chapter 1635: The Throne of Steel!

Magearna's divinity!

Regarding something as ethereal and intangible as divinity, the system also had little contact with it, and it likewise could not obtain related information from Team Rocket's database or from the League, so when Cain directed his attention toward that Mechanical Soul, the system did not provide any explanation.

But from that name alone, he could still more or less deduce certain things.

The opportunity for Magearna to become a true Legendary Pokémon had arisen precisely when she fused with this mechanical fortress specially tailored for her by Nikola.

Since it was the Mechanical Soul, then without a doubt it should be able to control numerous mechanical objects; this fortress was the first one Magearna controlled!

Perhaps in the future she could even control more, which meant that, just like other Legendary Pokémon, Magearna possessed nearly infinite possibilities.

Moreover, Cain saw that Magearna's Soul-Heart had changed from a first awakening to a second awakening, so did that not mean that perhaps in the future there would still be more possibilities and opportunities for awakening?

"M-Mister Cain..." Alva spoke at that moment in a trembling voice from the side.

He had seen everything that had just happened, but the more he had seen, the less he had understood it.

However, as a scientist of arcane science second only to Nikola, he had also researched this fortress somewhat and knew that the entire thing had been built with Magearna's Soul-Heart as its core. Now, however, all of the machinery seemed to have come alive, and that feeling was extremely obvious.

The corners of Cain's lips lifted. He looked at Alva, who was sitting on the floor, and together with Magearna he walked toward the window of the control room, gazing into the distance at the vast and boundless sky.

Looking at the world from that height produced a completely different feeling, a kind of sensation of standing at the absolute summit and seeing all mountains as small.

Before, in order to face Yveltal, he had had no time to pay attention to that scenery; only now could he finally take the time to experience that difference.

He slowly opened his arms, raised his head, and narrowed his eyes. All of his Pokémon were behind him.

Darkrai, Tyranitar, Aggron, Gengar, Honchkrow, Slowking, Weavile, Drapion, Florges, Swampert, Blaziken, Salamence, Gardevoir, Venusaur...

All of Cain's Pokémon appeared by his side, together contemplating that world.

"It's the first time, the first time that I feel I will no longer be bound by this world and that I will be able to calmly do what I truly want to do!" Cain said, with absolute confidence reflected on his face.

Even if only because Magearna had become a true Legendary Pokémon, this time, when facing Yveltal, Cain had not hesitated in the slightest, nor had he had any intention of dodging. He had chosen to face it head-on, directly confronting that Legendary Pokémon from the legends.

And moreover, in the face of its attacks, his Pokémon were not completely incapable of resisting. If it had not been for the need to protect Magearna's fortress, Cain believed that his Pokémon would not have had to limit themselves only to defending.

If they had launched an attack, their targets would not have been so large, and Yveltal's attacks would not have struck them so easily.

Alva also appeared at Cain's rear diagonal. As he gazed upon that vast world, a faint smile involuntarily appeared on his face.

A world this great truly deserved to be explored. The small Azoth Kingdom would no longer be his prison.

Cain looked at the outside world once more and then strode back into the control room. The cape he wore as a member of Hoenn's Elite Four swayed with a casual movement, and when he went to sit down, a steel throne appeared beneath him; at the very instant he sat down, the throne finished forming.

Now, the aerial fortress was part of Magearna, and Magearna's will was the will of the aerial fortress. As long as she had a thought, the entire fortress could move with it.

"Alva, activate the camouflage device."

"Magearna, let's go. Destination: the Hoenn region!" Cain said.

"Yes!" Alva replied, holding the scepter in his hand, while placing his right hand over the left side of his chest and inclining his body toward Cain in a flawless noble salute.

As the hereditary prime minister of the Azoth Kingdom, from childhood he had been required to learn aristocratic etiquette, so performing that gesture did not feel awkward to him in the slightest.

Magearna, upon hearing Cain's order, nodded obediently.

Accompanied by the sound of mechanical gears turning, the aerial fortress quickly headed toward the Hoenn region.

At the same time, Alva immediately activated the invisibility device that had already been installed around the aerial fortress, causing it to disappear among the clouds through the refraction of light.

Cain casually gave this aerial fortress a name: Heaven Castle!

As Team Heaven's aerial base in the firmament, the size of Heaven Castle was quite considerable; it could accommodate tens of thousands of people without feeling crowded.

If Magearna so wished, she could even open room after room within Heaven Castle for people to live in.

...

A single day was enough for Heaven Castle to return to the Hoenn region and allow Cain to make it in time for the ceremony where he would become Champion.

But returning right at the limit of time obviously made Drake and Juan feel that the situation was rather tense.

Now, representatives from all the major regions had already arrived in the Hoenn region; only Cain, the main protagonist, was still missing, and incredibly had still not appeared by this point.

This was a matter related to the prestige of the entire Hoenn League. The succession ceremony was going to be held the next day, and Cain still had not appeared.

Just as Juan, Drake, and the others were pacing anxiously back and forth in the chairman's office, Cain's Teleport caused him to appear there suddenly, startling the two old men.

"You brat, you're trying to scare us to death! So just because you're a psychic, you think you're that impressive? You keep popping up out of nowhere every other moment!" Drake said as he patted Juan on the back in displeasure.
