Regarding the Kurama clan, it was actually just a small matter.
Yakumo didn't want to be too cruel to them, but that didn't mean they had any reason to act arrogantly.
Senju Itsuki only mentioned the issue to Tsunade, and Tsunade could easily resolve it.
For the next two days, Itsuki did nothing but wander around the village and relax.
Because the Chunin Exam was approaching, Tsunade didn't want the girls to be distracted, so she once again ordered them not to approach Itsuki casually or have any other thoughts.
As a result, Itsuki was only accompanied by Karin and Yakumo, which left him quite free.
Finally, the third round of the Chunin Exam began.
Early in the morning, Konoha was bustling with life. The streets were packed with pedestrians, all looking excited.
Daimyo and wealthy merchants from all over the nations passed by in sedan chairs, surrounded by their entourages, attracting a lot of attention.
The shinobi world respected strength. Strong shinobi could influence the entire world.
But strangely, these rich and powerful nobles were superior to even the strongest shinobi.
No matter how hard shinobi fought, they could never touch these high-ranking elites.
It was as if the two sides lived in completely different worlds. Yet, the fate of shinobi often lay in the hands of these nobles.
In truth, the so-called Ninja World Wars were fought over the interests of countries, not villages. Ordinary civilians were rarely considered.
For example—if Konoha lost and Kumogakure or Iwagakure gained huge benefits, the Fire Nation would be the one paying the price.
But in those wars, where were the Daimyo? Where was the Fire Nation's army?
If the Fire Nation itself was destroyed, what would the Daimyo do? Would other nations' shinobi still praise the name of the Fire Nation?
It made absolutely no sense.
Of course, Itsuki was only curious for a moment. He had no intention of digging too deep.
All he cared about was the shinobi world. Fame, politics, or rank didn't matter to him.
If anyone dared to interfere with him, then these "systems of power" would have no binding force on him.
The Konoha Sports Stadium was packed to capacity.
Most spectators in the original timeline came to see the Uchiha clan, but here, nine out of ten came to see Senju Itsuki.
After all, Sasuke had been eliminated in the preliminaries, and news of Itsuki's mastery of Wood Release had already spread.
However, when Itsuki entered the venue, he suddenly had the urge to turn around and leave.
In his mind, the exam should have felt like a sporting competition, similar to tournaments in his previous life. The participants were like athletes.
But the reality was different.
When he saw the spectators high above pointing at them, he realized it was closer to a Colosseum.
In their eyes, the examinees weren't future leaders or protectors—they were just entertainment.
The feeling disgusted him.
"Itsuki-kun, what's wrong?" Karin noticed his emotional shift and asked in a low voice.
Itsuki shook his head and said nothing. Taking a deep breath, he looked into the stands.
There he saw Tsunade, Shizune, Kurenai Yuhi, Anko Mitarashi, Kakashi, Might Guy, Asuma, Yugao Uzuki, Yamashiro Aoba, and many more.
The Hyuga, Yamanaka, Akimichi, Inuzuka, and other clans were also watching.
The gazes of these shinobi were very different from the ordinary spectators.
In their eyes, Itsuki finally found psychological comfort, allowing him to continue standing on this stage.
"Dear guests!"
After the Kazekage took his place, the Third Hokage stood up, facing the venue.
"Thank you all for gathering here to participate in the Chunin Selection Exam, held by our Konohagakure Village."
"Now, the ten contestants who passed the preliminary round will enter the official competition! Please enjoy the show!"
The crowd roared with excitement.
Hiruzen Sarutobi didn't waste time with speeches. He simply announced the start of the competition.
The referee was Shiranui Genma, holding a senbon in his mouth.
He took out the match schedule, confirmed the order of the matches with the contestants, and then said:
"Listen carefully. This is the final exam. Although the terrain is different, the rules are the same as the preliminaries.
There are no restrictions. The match will only stop when one side dies or concedes defeat. But when I determine the winner, I will intervene. Do you understand?"
Everyone already knew these rules from the preliminaries, so no one asked questions.
Thus, the first match began.
Uzumaki Naruto vs. Hyuga Neji!
Except for the two of them, everyone else went to the lounge to watch.
Perhaps because of the enormous crowd, contestants like Karin felt a little nervous. The room fell into silence, no one chatting.
Itsuki once again looked at the audience—but this time, his gaze wasn't on the crowd, but on the undercurrents hidden behind the scenes.
Unfortunately, it wasn't time yet. Maybe the key players hadn't arrived.
Even if he used Kagura's Mind's Eye, he couldn't sense much. He could only see multiple ANBU operatives hiding in the shadows.
So, he turned his attention back to the arena.
The upcoming Konoha Crush plan was indeed dangerous—but not life-threatening to him.
Itsuki didn't bother warning anyone. After all, Orochimaru's target wasn't them. When the time came, he would simply act as needed.
"Naruto doesn't stand a chance!"
"That brat actually had to face Neji…"
"Still, it's amazing he got this far."
"Yeah, but if it's just luck, this is where it ends."
"No one has ever defeated the Hyuga clan!"
The whispers spread as the two took their positions.
Almost no one believed in Naruto. His opponent was a Hyuga prodigy. Naruto, on the other hand, was just a failure—a demon fox.
Since the two hadn't clashed in the preliminaries, there wasn't as much hostility as in the original timeline.
Still, Naruto clearly didn't like Neji.
"You seem to have something to say," Neji said, frowning slightly.
It was strange—he had never had direct contact with Naruto before.
"I've got nothing to say to someone like you!" Naruto snapped, pouting. "Let's just start the match. I want to beat you as fast as possible and move on to the next round!"
"How arrogant…" Neji chuckled, activating his Byakugan.
He thought Naruto was just bluffing—until he saw the genuine confidence in Naruto's eyes.
This idiot actually believed he could win?
Neji smirked. That made things more interesting.
As soon as Genma gave the signal, the match began.
Naruto instantly used his Shadow Clone Jutsu to defend against Neji's close-range Gentle Fist strikes.
The audience was shocked.
Normally, only jonin-level shinobi had the chakra reserves to use shadow clones effectively.
For Naruto to pull it off at his level was surprising.
But unfortunately, Naruto's taijutsu was weak, and Neji's Byakugan made the clones useless.
With precision strikes, Neji shattered them one after another.
Yet the next moment—Naruto summoned dozens more clones in a single breath, stunning the crowd…
