Just as everyone leaves and the portal closes, Nexyra falls to the ground again, looking at the space above.
"Those eyes..." His voice slightly trembles "Have I forgotten them..." His faint glowing eyes flicker as he speaks. He feels, like huge hands choking his neck, trying to rip apart all of his legs.
For the second time, Nexyra felt intimidated... and smaller... and smaller... and smaller.
Nexyra closes eyes and lets go of his body, accepting his fate. "It seems... even the threads woven by myself, were rotten from the very origin."
"I hope... there are more strands ahea-" BLANK.
The place is completely cleared off, like nothing had ever happened there.
On the other side, Shimura could sense something very wrong going on, he quickly looks back as the portal behind them warps closed.
For the very first time in his life, Suiryuu didn't saw arrogance, but urgency on Shimura's face
Shimura stands there for a second, halted motion in all form, everyone looks at him with a confused look, but Chihiro could sense it too.
For a few seconds, both of them just stand there, faintly looking at the ground, with no emotions on their face. "What happened uncle??" Veguro asks with a chill look on his face.
Everyone else looks at them with a confused face. But as Suiryuu's hands slowly approach Shimura's shoulder to call him, "Hey dad, are you alright?"
Suddenly... both of their pupils dilate in shock, Chihiro looks at him and without wasting even a single second, she tries to form a portal back to the space where they were before....
But she couldn't. Shimura retaliates "What happened!? Chihiro form the portal!"
"I- I am unable to...." She slowly looks at him with a slight fearful face.
Shimura takes a deep breath, and brings both his together infront of him, palms facing the opposite direction, as if gripping something invisible. The ground beneath all, begins to rumble, vibrating violently, an earthquake.
Suiryuu and the others hold their ground, trying to balance themselves as the land shakes beneath them.
"Bruh why are we going through this shit!? " Veguro again cries out loud. "I thought it was finally over!!"
His forearms tense, muscles start to swell unnaturally, thick veins popping out from under his skin, glowing faintly as steam starts to escape, radiating from his body.
The space around his hands start to distort, he is trying to rip apart the very fabric of space from his hands, to make a wormhole that would lead them back to Nexyra.
Shimura grits his teeth as he grunts "Open!!" He pulls his hands apart, slowly, forcefully.
A small slit forms in the wavering space, an eerie black glow coming out of the crack. He doesn't let go and continues to exert all of his strength to sever the strands holding it together.
The crack continues to grow bigger, the black glow radiating out of it.
Suddenly... everyone's focus is removed from Shimura and the portal. A huge wave of weird feelings flood their mind, they are unable to understand what is happening with them.
And in an instant, they come back to their senses. "What was that? I am unable to think straight, I feel like... my head is spinning".
Chihiro stands there in disbelief on the sight of her husbands powerlessness. The fear and tension could be seen in her eyes.
The crack shuts close, letting out a strong shockwave in every direction. Shimura is pushed back a bit. Chihiro gets her hands infront of her to defend herself from the pushing force.
Everyone else is thrown far away from the portal. He slowly looks at his hands, in disbelief "How... how is this possible". His veins start darkening, his hands shrivel back to their original size.
Chihiro starts sweating, her eyes dilate in horror. Her dear husband, who was deemed to be so powerful that cosmic entities kneeled infront of him... now stands helpless... powerless...
The kids stood frozen, unable to understand what their parents were sensing… or why they were afraid
"Dad! What is going!! is another creature coming after you!!" Suiryuu shouts from a bit afar, a mix of anger and fear in his trembling voice.
Veguro tries to calm him down, placing his hands around his shoulder and holding his hand. "Ay, calm down Suiryuu man! Your dad will definitely figure something out, all of us just saw how powerful he is after all" He tries to sound chill and playful while his own heart beats fasten for some reason.
A strange, weird, unease hits Damura's heart, he clenches his fist to his chest "What... what is this feeling..." He slowly looks up at Shimura, "Mr. Tsugaraki! What is happening... I- I.... I don't feel well"
Chihiro utters, barely a breath "Some... something's stopping you..."
"No... Something's sucking me..."[1] Shimura lowers his hands slowly.
"So... They've already started". Shimura's hair start to float in the air, a white aura forms around him, flowing out of him like smoke.
Shimura lets out a small laugh "Hmm.. Cheap tricks, as expected".
Suddenly... everything goes dead silent, not even a single finger's movement.
Something shifts, not around them, not the ground. Above... The sky trembles, as if the surface of a balloon stretching as it gets bigger.
The world, the space above them, the universe around the earth, starts to spin. Everyone's eyes are affixed up above, at the beautiful night azure.
It was as if, they were the centre of the universe itself. It revolves, faster and faster, the clouds, the stars, the galaxies above, stretch unnaturally.
Night erupted to days, and collapsed into nights, again, and again, and again...
Sun streaks around the sky like a burning trail, Stars flashed into existence, and went away in an instant.
Suiryuu exclaims in a whisper, involuntarily, as the heavens above him reflected before his eyes, such a beautiful view, "Wow....". But, he felt the same pressure again, heavier, and heavier. Something, was looking.
And then.. everything stopped, just dead motion in an instant.
The universe stopped into a silent night sky, filled with the same old stars.
But, Something Felt... Off...
"Tho-Those stars..." Damura points out, at a group of stars. But Shimura quickly steps near him, "Don't point at them, and keep you head low, don't look above"
Everyone else quickly tilt their head down except Shimura, trying to resist the urge to look up at the space.
But, someone was unable take the warning.
Suiryuu couldn't take his eyes off those tiny dim dots, his jaw just slightly open.
His eyes start to get completely white, like a formation of cataract all over his eyes.
Shimura dashes towards him and covers his eyes, "I told you not to look up Suiryuu"
Suddenly, the lower part of his body goes limp and he falls to his knees, holding tightly to Shimura's hands, pressing his eyes as he grunts in pain, "AAhhhh!! What is this!! My eyes!! My eyes!!"
Shimura tries to comfort him by rubbing his head and pulling him closer, slight concern reflecting on his face "It's ok, try as much as you can to control yourself Suiryuu. It wont last long".
Those stars before, who took Nexyra away, those stars... they are here.
And then... a whispe- No... It was more than one voice, Ancient beyond time itself, settled onto their ears, echoing through the air."Shimura Tsugaraki... Even the Gods far above don't remember you, So much time has withered away... Eons drifted by... And here you stand"
"We had thought... time would have dealt with you"
A faint stillness
"It seems... we were mistaken"
A brief pause
"Defile The Imperial Law, Fallen Lord... And we fear that your Impudent Behavior shall bring doom"
everyone's body feels a force pulling them down, like burning their very soul little by little.
"Not only to your family... But the whole of the universe you are residing to"
"Your Family... Is no longer beyond our notice"
Their voice shifts to a hard tone, like a loud, distorted, low organ
"And the genesis of the new born... will not be allowed to become something you were once"
Each phrase holds a different weight and tone,
"Hide if you want"
"Run if you can"
"But remember one thing"
"Only Death... awaits"
The stars start to dim, not fading...
but closing, like eyes that had seen enough.
