Four fists shot out simultaneously like cannonballs, overlapping into a terrifying, cannon-shaped shockwave!
The shockwave smashed into the Undead Ant—its body instantly rotted, shattered, and exploded into countless blackened dregs.
Boom!!
Four Arms swung again, and the remaining shockwave slammed into the distant swamp, blowing the area to pieces.
"Phew…"
Four Arms let out a long breath, a smile spreading across his face.
"That's it—done! I've pulverized this freak into dregs. There's no way it can recover now."
The words had barely left his mouth.
Whoosh… whoosh… whoosh…
The scattered dregs suddenly began to wriggle.
They moved.
They gathered.
They merged.
Slowly.
The Undead Ant's body was re-forming.
"…It's still coming back?" Four Arms felt a chill crawl up his spine.
Is this thing truly immortal?
"This is bad…"
Way Big frowned and extended his hand.
"I'll handle it. I'll grab this dead bug and throw it straight into outer space. Let's see if it can still regenerate then."
"I'll do it, Ethen!!" Four Arms clenched his fists and roared.
"I'll finish this myself!"
Hearing that, Way Big stopped.
He lowered his hand and looked at Four Arms.
He chose to trust Ben.
Four Arms clenched his fists again, preparing to unleash another attack—
Biu~ biu~ biu~
A series of crisp electronic sounds rang out.
Green light shimmered around his body.
The transformation ended.
"…Damn it."
Ben stood there in human form, staring blankly ahead.
"Time's up. That's not right."
Way Big frowned even deeper.
"I transformed earlier than Ben, and my time isn't over yet. How could his end first…?"
Unless—
The Omnitrix hadn't fully recovered.
"Ahh!!"
The Undead Ant let out a shrill hiss.
It raised its burning legs and advanced toward Ben Tennyson.
"There's no other way…"
Ben clenched his teeth.
"Omnitrix—this time I'm not trying to break you. I need your help!"
He raised the arm wearing the Omnitrix and punched the Undead Ant!
Bang!
The punch did nothing.
Instead, Ben's hand burst into flames.
"Roar!!"
The Undead Ant opened its mandibles and lunged straight for Ben's neck!
At the critical moment—
Whoosh!!
The Omnitrix emitted a deep green ripple.
Ben's body reshaped instantly.
His figure shrank.
His body bloated.
The Undead Ant bit into empty air.
"What is that?!" Way Big's eyes widened as ecstasy surged through him.
"The Omnitrix unlocked a new alien for Ben?!"
"Now you're finished, freak!!"
Upchuck emerged from the green light, opening his massive mouth.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Sticky tongues shot out, tightly wrapping around the Undead Ant's burning body.
Crack!!
Upchuck snapped his head back.
His tongues ripped off a chunk of the Undead Ant's body and swallowed it whole!
"??!"
The Undead Ant froze.
It stared at the missing part of its body.
That piece didn't regenerate.
It was as if—
Upchuck hadn't just eaten its flesh.
He had permanently devoured its energy.
"Now…"
Upchuck licked his lips.
"…let's eat properly."
He pounced forward, devouring the Undead Ant piece by piece.
Way Big completely relaxed, a smile forming at the corner of his mouth.
The Omnitrix really was a broken watch sometimes.
But sometimes—
If you treat it properly.
If you rely on it at the right moment.
It gives you miracles.
One minute later.
Upchuck rubbed his belly, looking utterly satisfied.
"Heh… Broken watch—no, Omnitrix… What I like most is you like this. I swear I'll never mess with you again."
Ben had made peace with the Omnitrix.
And maybe—
With himself.
