Chapter 86 - "Heavenly Execution: A Gift for the Empress."

-----

-----

While Logan was still on Amazon Lily, enjoying a rather… intense two-person "du-long" session with Hancock and Margaret, the outside world had already exploded.

The moment reporters brought back the news that a Celestial Dragon had been captured, Morgans nearly flipped his entire office in excitement.

He immediately ordered his best staff to draft headlines, process photos, and push the story out.

Only three hours later, fleets of news birds shot out of the World Economy News headquarters, each carrying a fresh print of the explosive report to every corner of the globe.

As people everywhere bought the paper, the entire ocean was set ablaze.

[Shocking! After killing Crocodile and destroying Enies Lobby, Logan has now kidnapped Celestial Dragon Saint Charloss in broad daylight on Sabaody!]

[Is Logan preparing for war against the Navy and the World Government?!]

[A new era—is it coming?!]

[Will Logan become the next ruler of the seas, just like Rocks?!]

[How will the Navy and the Government respond?!]

[Eight hundred years of World Government rule—challenged at last!!]

[What kind of future awaits the seas?!]

"…"

Dozens of headlines just like these filled Morgans' draft board, each more eye-catching and over-the-top than the last.

Sure, a lot of it was exaggerated. But Logan really had abducted a Celestial Dragon. That part was undeniable.

He had officially become the only man in decades—since Rocks—to lay hands on a Celestial Dragon openly.

Wano Country – Onigashima

"Wororororo! Logan, you're starting to interest me more and more!!"

Kaido's booming laugh echoed through the entire skull hall.

His sharp eyes stayed glued to the newspaper in his hand, a strange mix of excitement and admiration glinting in them.

Killing Crocodile and leveling Enies Lobby wasn't enough to make Kaido take Logan seriously.

But kidnapping a Celestial Dragon? That was a whole different tier.

A small fry like Charloss was nothing—if the Celestial Dragons ever annoyed him, Kaido could burn them to ash with one breath.

But picking a fight with them on purpose was another matter entirely.

Even as a Yonko, Kaido had never considered crossing the Celestial Dragons. The reason… went without saying.

In eight hundred years of World Government rule, nobody dared except one lunatic—Rocks.

"Kaido-sama, do we still need to send someone to look for him?" King asked, brow furrowed.

Before this, he absolutely wanted Logan brought to Onigashima to strengthen the Beasts Pirates.

But now? After this incident? Logan was already on the Navy and Government's kill-on-sight list.

Getting involved with him now might drag the Beasts Pirates down too.

"Worororo! King, when did you become such a coward?!" Kaido shot him a sideways glance.

"Kaido-sama, you still want to recruit him?" Queen asked, belly wobbling as he shifted nervously.

"That's right." Kaido suddenly stood up, his dragon eyes gleaming. "As long as Logan makes it alive to the New World, I'll make sure he joins the Beasts Pirates."

"And… if he refuses?"

"Refuse?!"

"Wororororo! No one tells ME no!"

Totto Land – Whole Cake Island

BIG MOM had been in a foul mood lately. She wasn't even doing her usual… nightly activities.

The reason was simple: she hadn't seen any news about Logan for far too long. And none of her useless children had managed to find him.

"Mamamamama… to think he even dares kidnap a Celestial Dragon. No wonder I set my eyes on that man."

BIG MOM gazed at the photo of Logan beating up Charloss, her eyes turning hazy.

Her ministers exchanged helpless looks.

But knowing BIG MOM's temper, none dared speak.

One wrong word, and you might lose your life. This was the woman who could kill her own children without blinking.

"Ahem, ahem…" Under the pleading looks of his siblings, Perospero reluctantly stepped forward. "Mama… do we still need to—"

"Hm?!"

Before he even finished, BIG MOM shot him a terrifying glare.

He froze, drenched in sweat.

"You useless brats! What do I even keep you around for?!" she snapped before lowering her head to the bounty posters on the table. "Enies Lobby first, now Sabaody… Logan, you're getting closer and closer."

Logan was a prize she would obtain.

The New World – A Desolate Island

When the Red-Haired Pirates read the news, even Shanks dropped all previous underestimation.

Hawkeye's absurdly high evaluation of Logan still rang in all their minds.

Very strong.

For Hawk-Eyes to say those words meant Logan's strength far surpassed the 3-billion-berry bounty pinned on him.

"Boss… you don't think Logan will really become the next Rocks, right?" Lucky Roux asked, brows knotted.

He wasn't swayed by the headlines.

It was Logan's actions—every single one of them—since he first set sail. Each one was a direct or indirect slap in the face of the Navy and the Government.

Other pirates burned, robbed, or maybe fought small skirmishes with Marines.

Logan?

Lucky Roux felt like the next time he picked up a newspaper, it would say Logan stormed Mariejois.

"How do you see it?" Shanks asked, looking to Benn Beckman.

Whenever they were unsure, they asked Benn.

A ring of smoke rose as Benn slowly exhaled. "I can't tell yet."

All he could confirm was Logan was strong, fearless, and extremely woman-crazy.

But whether he had Rocks-level ambition… that was still unclear.

Just as everyone started to look disappointed, Benn added, "We'll know when he arrives in the New World."

"Shanks… if Logan does become the next Rocks, what will you do?"

Shanks fell silent.

The New World – Moby Dick

The Whitebeard Pirates and all sixteen division commanders, plus all fifty-two allied crews, were fully mobilized these days.

Too busy to bother with the outside world.

Every effort was focused on finding Ace.

Ace had chased Blackbeard across the seas and vanished. Whitebeard's unease grew with every passing hour.

Calm Belt – Amazon Lily

Inside Hancock's private room, the air was warm and hazy.

Hancock and Margaret lay on either side of Logan, curled up like two little rabbits.

Compared to Hancock, Margaret was clearly more nervous.

Partly because… this was her first time.

But mostly because her first time had been spent together with the Pirate Empress, serving Logan.

Even now, she felt dazed, almost unreal.

She kept replaying Hancock's shockingly different side in her mind.

Was this gentle, obedient woman really the same cold, aloof Empress she always saw?

"You two rest for now," Logan said softly.

Both women nodded obediently.

After he left, Margaret whispered, "L-Lady Empress…"

Hancock sighed gently. "Call me sister from now on. Just like Sandersonia and Marigold."

Back on the Airship

Rewards time.

[Congratulations, Host. Crew member Margaret successfully recruited. Claim reward?]

Logan responded instantly.

The system never arrived late.

[Reward granted: Heavenly Execution Arrows!]

[System optimizing…]

Heavenly Execution Arrows?!

The name immediately reminded Logan of Divine Arms: Heavenly Execution from The Story of the Divine Armaments.

A powerful divine beast in Jade Island lore—a giant bat that could transform into the Heavenly Execution Weapon.

Nine arrows in total, combine or separate, with terrifying destructive power.

Even the Xuantian Evil Emperor praised it.

While he pondered, the system chimed again.

[Optimization complete. Heavenly Execution Arrows ready for retrieval.]

A bat-shaped ring appeared in front of him.

He checked the system's explanation:

– The arrows can transform into a wearable ring. No beast form.– Compatible with Haki and Devil Fruit abilities for enhanced power.– Nine arrows total. Once used up, requires a one-day cooldown.

Logan held the bat-shaped ring. With a thought, a sleek weapon with nine purple arrows appeared in his hand.

"So this is the Heavenly Execution Arrows… the weapon even the Evil Emperor feared?"

His eyes gleamed with satisfaction.

He didn't know how strong it was yet, but he did know one thing:

System rewards were always top-tier.

Logan brought all the girls, Hancock included, to a large uninhabited island a few miles off Amazon Lily.

"Logan, what are we doing out here?!" Nami stared at the place in confusion. Aside from some ancient-looking forests, the rest of the island was basically bare mountains and rocks.

The others were just as puzzled, all looking at Logan for an explanation.

Logan smiled faintly. "For now, we're not heading anywhere else. Hancock's going to train you here."

As he spoke, he summoned the massive gravity training chamber.

He might've been stronger than Hancock, but when it came to real training experience, he was nowhere near her level. Hancock had climbed to her current strength step by step.

After setting down the training chamber, he continued, "All combat members of the Logan Pirates, step forward."

One after another, Nami, Robin, Dor, Kalifa, Tashigi, Perona, and Margaret stepped up.

"As for Vivi and Kaya, and the rest of you—do whatever you want. Train if you feel like it, or just spend your time on things you enjoy," Logan said, letting his gaze sweep across them.

He wasn't going to force them. There was no way he could train everyone at once, and he had to be selective about who to focus on. Besides, Vivi, Kaya, Makino and the others weren't exactly fans of fighting to begin with.

"Got it, Logan."

"Don't worry, Captain, we'll keep ourselves busy."

"Yeah, yeah…"

Their answers came one after another.

Logan nodded in satisfaction, then slipped a ring off his finger and handed it to Hancock. "Hancock, a gift for you."

A ring?

Hancock froze, cheeks instantly turning red. One moment he was talking about serious training, and the next… this?

Wait. Something felt wrong.

Didn't he already give her a ring last night? One that even had something inside she didn't recognize?

And now he was giving her another one?

"Logan, you already gave me a ring. You don't have to give me more," she said, refusing verbally even though her eyes never left the ring for a second.

The other girls stared at her with envy. So this was the charm of the world's most beautiful woman? The captain wasn't even trying to hide how biased he was.

Logan sighed. "Just take it. Try feeling it carefully."

He pushed the ring into her hand, his expression serious.

Seeing his serious face pulled Hancock out of her daydreaming. She focused on the ring in her palm.

"Huh?!" she gasped softly as the ring suddenly shifted shape, transforming into a long purple bow.

"Logan, this is…" Hancock looked at the bow in shock.

"Hancock, this is the second gift I'm giving you. Its name is Heavenly Retribution Arrow," Logan explained patiently.

"Heavenly… Retribution…" she murmured. The name moved her, but she didn't take it too seriously.

After all, it only had nine arrows. In a real fight, that didn't sound very useful. With her Love-Love Fruit, she could shoot out endless heart arrows with a single pull.

"Thank you, Logan. I like it," she said with a smile, leaning in to kiss him.

Even if it seemed a bit impractical, she wasn't going to turn down his kindness.

Of course Logan could see exactly what she was thinking. He chuckled. "Try its power first. Aim over there."

He pointed toward a mountain a few hundred meters tall in the distance.

"Logan… seriously?" Hancock raised a brow, unsure if he was joking.

"Absolutely," Logan said confidently.

Hancock stopped questioning him, narrowed her eyes, and drew the bow.

The moment she released the string, one of the purple arrows shot out with a sharp whistle, crossing more than a kilometer in an instant before slamming into the middle of the mountain.

Boom!

The energy inside the arrow exploded, and under the shocked gazes of all the girls, the towering mountain shattered into rubble.

Rumbling thunder echoed through the island as enormous chunks of stone tumbled down, shaking the ground and sending countless animals fleeing from the forest.

Even from a kilometer away, Logan and the others felt the tremor.

"This… how is this possible?!" Hancock shouted, completely losing her composure.

She stared at the bow in her hands, stunned. The power of that single arrow was insane.

Even Logan, who had already expected a strong result, was taken aback. That shot was almost on par with his Nation's Might attack—at least the version without any added abilities.

Heavenly Retribution was downright terrifying.

"Hancock, when you face strong enemies in the future, try adding your Haki and your Love-Love abilities to the arrows. With that, even a Navy Admiral won't be out of your league," Logan reminded her.
