Linda was yet to make a meaning of whatever it might be when her thoughts were interrupted by her father's voice.
His voice was low and calm as he spoke. "Linda… I am sorry this is coming up this way, but it is time I tell you about yourself."
Several sparks of lighting flashed through Linda's head and her eyes widened. "Tell me about myself?"
Andrew nodded slowly. "Yes. There is a need to." He answered resignedly.
Linda's heart skipped a beat, yet she could only stare at him in disbelief before finally letting out a short scoff.
"Dad, I guess you must be joking. What else could I be other than your daughter?"
She attempted to laugh, but the sound died almost immediately when she noticed the expression on his face.
A bitter smile appeared on Andrew's lips.
His eyes reddened slightly, and the pain reflected in his expression immediately made Linda's stomach tighten.
His expression was really wrong. There was something in his eyes that Linda had never seen before.
