Eva steps closer, lowering her voice conspiratorially. "She needed this."
I meet her gaze. She's right, and she knows it.
My eyes flick back to Bella. "Finish your drink."
Her eyebrows lift. "Really?"
"Don't push it."
She grins and does exactly that, tipping the glass back with dramatic flair while the other two cheer. I watch her the whole time, equal parts exasperated and unwillingly softened, already knowing that getting her back to the main house is going to be an adventure.
And somehow, despite everything, I don't hate that.
lsabella's POV
I wake up from the kind of sleep where my head feels like it's been stuffed with cotton and my mouth is dry and something heavy is pressing behind my eyes.
I groan, turning slightly, burying my face deeper into the pillow.
Wrong move cause that's the first thing my brain registers.
