"Wakie wakie. Are you in there? Hellooo..." Akane waking me up but honestly she is repeating my name a lot on purpose.
I couldn't take it any more so I just got up. "Great you're awake" She says.
Suddenly a memory comes to mind.
A face covered in golden light of dawn. "You in there?" Akane got concerned.
"Huh? Oh yeah I am." I responded quickly. "Great because you kinda spaced out." She completely sounds like a sister to me.
"Anyway how are you feeling." What's with the smile on Akanes face though.
"Yeah I am feeling better." I press my hand on my four heard. "I just can't remember how I got here." While still in my blankets I thought more of what might of happened.
"Well...." She swings her finger around as a gesture before saying everything but she was excited to tell.
"It was right after the sun had went down and the young master brought Haru on he's arms like a princess, He carried her all the way to her room." It sounds like a narration.
(Flash Back)
(Nock at the door)
"Uh hang on I'll be there." Akane opens the door and finds a situation she didn't expect she got a bit self collected.
He didn't hold any expression besides a look of a young man with dignity in he's eyes.
"Excuse me Miss Akane but could you I ask for permission to help her get to her bed?" He pauses a bit to look at Haru's face as she was completely asleep. "She suddenly collapsed in the carriage on our way home."
"Yes come in." So she says but still lost in thoughts.
Akane starts to talk in her heard "Mr. Takanori Zaikai has always been a kind man and has been looking up to he's father and wants to become like he's father."
"I'll tack her in." She tells Mr. Zaikai and then continues her monologue in her heard. "But after he's father died he's grandma had to step up and lead the Family name in the kingdom but it also brought some attention from another family third family to the throne, arranging a marriage between Mr. Zaikai and the daughter of that family." Akane was still in thought.
" I'll go now." He said but he's personally is still stagnant like he doesn't know what emotions are for... For that moment.
" Oh. Thank you for bringing her." She says while addressing him respectfully.
(Back to presents)
She suddenly giggles teasingly. "Hehehe" I responded to that by slamming a pillow on her chicky face.
" Come on tell me what happened?" She says playful. " But if you don't I'll force it out of you" She suddenly said but with a scary fad and a dark tone she made me pull back a bit.
"Nothing happened so don't get a big head over it." Says Haru but clearly she is wondering about something as well.
"Ok. If you're able to remember then I take it you didn't lose your memory and was it because of the memory loss that made you collapse?" She says and she sounds calm but not a normally calm.
"...." Akane remains silent.
Inner or heard monologue "Akane has always been someone who was very close to me and kind... A friend and a sister. Wait? Did I remember that or ... Did I know that. I can't completely recall the memory buy I know. Does?... Their Clear now. I can see her."
" Everytime she has free time she would just look for a reason to spend her day with me, and I never really talked that much since I was a quiet person and couldn't go against I just got involved with whatever she did and so on I found myself spending my break times with her. I guess she became more of a sister figure to Haru in the end." Haru suddenly feels down.
Inner monologue "But after knowing about the poisoning I don't know what to do... So I'll put my trust in her and tell her."
"Akane... I kinda remember now. Not all of it but I do remember some things."
With a painful smile. "So yeah I remember you Akane." I feel sad and sadness is all I feel right now but for some reason I'm smiling... is it this body's will pushing me?
"So you still remember our time since the tree incident incident? That's a relief." She suddenly relaxes her tension "haaaa I'm glad." So she says and gently smiles.
"No I remember even more now. My memories came back so I remember everything but I don't rememb...-." Haru got suddenly jump while she was talking by Akane who was left a bit speechless for a bit.
"Oh really" So she says and adds. "So you remember everything? If so and you're sure that you remember everything and including the things before the incident." The tone of her voice suddenly changes to a bit teasing tone.
She moved in closer and closer until she got close enough to my face then she grabs my cheeks. "Well tell."
The fact that I remember my death from both my previous life and this life is weird enough but for some reason images from my life in my real world are too blurry like fog but I can barely remember the memories and now I have half of the memories of this world involving my life right up until now.
I find Akane scary right now with her deep black obsidian color eyes, like a lion that is done playing around staring deeply before it bites it's pray.
"So then you remember everything?..." She asks and I responded quickly. "I didn't say everything." Why does she make me feel out of place like this.
Meanwhile in the Zaikai mansion in the Madam's office.
"I've talked to the people in the city but I still don't feel like I deserve the position, they agreed to follow my choice if I ever decide to choose someone else to take order in my stade. So won't you Instead tak.." He suddenly got cut off mid sentence by the madam.
"Takanori don't make it sound like I'm against you right now, but you do know that by following your selfish ambitions in this position would be an insult to your family and your father. Not to add off but including the kingdom, I'm just saying something here or am I wrong to think that way?" So the madam says while she looked very considerate of the matter.
"I know but that law isn't fare I find it rather ridiculous. How can I not choose whom I must marry regardless of my position." So he says as he builds he's fist.
"It's just keep the balance between nobles, though you're making the law sound a bit more twisted than it actually is. You and that girl, I thought you two had become great friends, did I get the wrong impression?" So she asks him.
"It hasn't changed..." He responded.
"Just because she lost her memories doesn't make her a stray dog.
There isn't a need for you to feel the need to take care of her. She's managing just fine." So the madam says and she adds. "Look, because of your previous movements to the capital, you haven't spent a lot of time together so I arranged a day for you two to get along again. And please don't become unbearable during the vacation because I'm also going to be there ok." So the madam says.
Meanwhile in our room Akane pulls out an unexpected question for me.
"What is my favorite food?" So she asks me.
I just had to think fast here. "Lemon cake, if I'm not mistaken right?" I'm nervous here for what she'll do if I answered wrong.
"Correct!" She suddenly sprungs on me with her face shinning so brightly. "I can't believe you actually remembered." So she says.
But her scream was enough to reach the Madam's office.
"That girl has no limit to how much noise she can make within a single day doesn't she?." So says the madam irritatedly.
"So how much do you remember? Hmm-Hmm." So she's asks with sparkling eyes so how could I not tell her at this point. Though my answer about the cake thing was just by random luck but I'm glad It worked out.
For a moment there I thought she's the one who killed me now I feel guilty for thinking she was the one who poisoned me.
"I remember everything about my life up to how I got here and from there I remember all the memories within the time I was with you but with the others it's kinda blurry a bit." So I tell her then she hugs me a bit tight. I'm glad but I feel like I shouldn't tell her about the poisoning until I catch the person or when I find some leads to whoever it might of been.
The following day the madam gave us time to head into town because we where going to the beach the day after today to get whatever we need.
I told Akane not to tell anyone that I regained my memories but she was kinda wondering why so I told her I'll tell them myself when I regain more of the memories and for some reason she didn't play had to get with me and she agreed to stay quiet.
Though the last question she asked me really made me think more of who I really am here, in this life, in this world.
"You know, besides you memories get lost for a bit you actually started talking more than your usual self." So she said.
She is right. Haru Yasashisa which is now I, an offered girl who was taken in by a noble family to work as a maid of the household but died due to poisoning which only I and the murderor know of it but some how survived and now she slowly regains memories.
Haru has always been always a closed off girl and seem like she doesn't like being around people, doesn't talk much and for some reason never expresses what she feels about anything. I gotta keep it in mind and blend in I wanna know more but then again maintaining a different personality would make them think my normal self isn't there or in other words I still have anemia *memory loss*.
Akane Nozomu, a great friend but sometimes she seems as if she has many colors to her personality that she lets on. Besides that she's another worker of the Zaikai house hold and she has no bad intentions to the work she does. Her background involving her parents is still a mystery but she's clean in Haru's life, she's always positive and never gives up trying.
Mr. Takanori Zaikai is a noble, a young lord who was left with a great position by he's father of being the successor of the family but more importantly as the third seat that seats next to the king of the kingdom, he has a rough time already breathing it in but he's the only child of the family so he has no choice but to. And I have a feeling that he might of had a connection to Haru for a while now because of the way he's been treating me and the way he always stairs like that.
Ms. Sakura Kōchō, the bride or future wife for Mr. Takanori Zaikai, I don't remember that part very well from my memories here but fortunately that's how it is and it doesn't bother me.
Ms. Akane Komori, a person maid of Ms. Kōchō and she really talks to anyone besides the times she's sent to call someone or needs something.
Madam Mirai Tokiwa is the one who leads the house until Mr. Zaikai is approved to continue by taking charge of the family name, simply put he'll take over he's father's position.
Mr. Rin Kōjin, He's probably the oldest person in the mansion besides the madam, together with he's grandchildren Ms. Akira Kōjin, who's in charge of the dinner table or lead chef. Mr. Tsubasa Kōjin, he's the personal assistant of Mr. Zaikai whenever he's going out on he's daily assignments.
Mr. Kenji & Ms. Ruri Kaze who leave in the farm side of the Zaikai mansion are just residents and nothing more to speak of besides their three sons Mr. Sora Kaze, Mr. Shinjiro Kaze and Mr. Kenji Kaze, who look after the entire farm as gardeners.
Mr. Lila Kusa no Kokoro, is a flower lover, he's the gardener who keeps the flowers looking well and looks after them day in and day out, sometimes I wonder if he's that much isolated from everyone in he's head. But he's good at what he does.
"We're here." So says Akane. I was lost in thought I didn't realize we where moving that fast all this time.
"Where exactly are we?" I ask Akane.
"HillVill village, that's where we are." So she says.
"Ok will see you girls when we come around later ok." Says Mr. Sora Kaze.
"Ok thank you." I said it at the same time with Akane.
As the carriage drove we went into the village.
"Hey Haru... Do you still remember which color you like?" So she asks me.
"Blue..." So I say while slowly dropping my head as if I'm sad.
"Really? So you actually do have a favorite color, everytime I asked you, you would pause and think but you never gave an answer in the end." So she says as she gave some small giggles.
"Do you got a reason why you chose the color blue?" So she asks me.
"It is because it makes imagine of freedom I guess. Free as the sky, free as the sea. How I came to choose blue though ...-" Suddenly my head started hurting as if a drill was passing right in the middle of it and I felt a bit dizzy. "My head."
"Hey relax ok, don't push yourself over it ok. Let's just keep going, and look we're already here." So she says though there was like eight more steps to reach the store.
We entered the store and was welcomed by the shop keeper.
"Welcome welcome... Oh Akane it's you." So the owner says while she looked very happy to see Akane again.
"Hey Miss Yamamori, how have you been?" She asks her.
"I'm doing okay and just free lately. What about you Haru?" She asks me.
"Oh uhm... Fine I guess." I didn't know how to respond correctly.
"You're still as shy as you always have huh Haru? Hahahahaha." She says and laughs a bit.
Akane tells Miss Yamamori. "Actually Miss Yamamori. Haru lost her memories."
"Huh.... Now how the long needle did that happen?" So she asks.
"Well it's kinda of a long story." So says Akane.
"Tree, Head, Memory, Beach and Swimsuits got it. Anway I'm glad you're ok though Haru, just don't push it ok. As I always say, a thread has both a beggining and an end so the memories will come back eventually." So says Miss Yamamori.
"You're welcome, now let's get to those swimsuits." So says Miss Yamamori.
"You can go ahead Akane." I tell her.
"Oh I see, you wanna see which one I peak so you can pick a better one huh?" So she implies.
"No, it's because I already have one that's all." I said.
"Really, how come I never seen it before." Akane asks.
"That's because Mr. Zaikai bought me one yesterday." Don't know if that was the right move after I said it out loud.
"..." She's speechless all-over the sudden.
"Haru are you trying to get yourself executed?" So she ask me.
"What?" I replied to Akane who just sprung a weird question on me.
