you tell the two you believe the universe runs on the dark forest theory and not expand past the solar system until they turn the solar system into a self sustaining fortress. and to look at space fiction movies/ video games for inspiration to which Quantum Nova shyly looks down and state she rather likes Halo causing you to laugh and saying that it is your favorite too. you were going to have Commander Athena's daughter base the military of it once we got to that point. you then tell the two of them to look into all fiction methods of attacking in space add them to the ones they have thought of then categorize them based of the different methods then make sure any defenses can block them all because if the post covenant war UNSC from Halo ran into the Empire from star wars the empire would lose because all their armor and shields defend against laser bolts while their defense against kinetic weapons is low because of weak slug throwers as the Empire calls them, while the UNSC would have their ships armored against both plasma and kinetic weaponry which would prevent the laser bolts from effecting their shields much and even if they did the Empires laser bolts would not do much against the ships actual armor yet the UNSC Mac rounds would be as effective as the pistol against a paper door

"Before we get too far into these asteroid mining plans, I think we need to discuss something important," you say, leaning against one of the laboratory's reinforced workbenches. "I believe the universe operates on what's called the dark forest theory."
Maxine looks up from her holographic display, her enhanced intellect immediately grasping the reference. "The concept that all civilizations are hunters hiding in a dark forest, remaining silent to avoid detection by potentially hostile forces."
"Exactly," you nod. "I don't want us expanding beyond our solar system until we've turned it into an impenetrable fortress. We need comprehensive defenses against threats we can't even imagine yet."
Quantum Nova's dark eyes light up with interest. "A fascinating strategic approach, Divine Mother. It aligns with several theoretical models I've been developing." She manipulates the holographic display, expanding the asteroid mining schematics into a larger solar system defense grid.
"We should look at science fiction for inspiration," you continue. "Movies, video games—they sometimes imagine threats and solutions before science catches up."
At this suggestion, Nova suddenly looks down, her confident demeanor giving way to an almost shy expression. "I... I rather like Halo," she admits quietly, as though revealing a secret unbecoming of her divine scientific destiny.
You burst into delighted laughter, causing her to look up in surprise. "That's my favorite too! In fact, I was planning to have Commander Athena's daughter Victoria Bellona base our military structure on it once we reached that stage of development."
Nova's expression transforms into one of pure joy, her divine nature glowing visibly as she realizes this connection between you. "Really? The UNSC's combination of centralized command and specialized tactical units would be highly effective for our needs."
"Absolutely," you agree. "I want you two to research every fictional method of space warfare. Add them to what you've already theorized, then categorize them by attack vector. Our defenses need to counter all of them."
Maxine looks intrigued. "An interesting approach. Fiction often explores possibilities that formal scientific inquiry hasn't considered."
"Exactly," you nod. "Look at how the post-Covenant War UNSC would fare against the Empire from Star Wars. The Empire would lose because their defenses are optimized against energy weapons while remaining vulnerable to kinetic strikes. Their armor and shields defend against laser bolts because that's what they expect to face."
Nova eagerly joins in. "While the UNSC would have ships armored against both plasma and kinetic weaponry from fighting the Covenant! Imperial laser weapons would barely affect UNSC ships, but MAC rounds would tear through Star Destroyers like paper."
"Precisely," you smile, pleased at how quickly she grasps the concept. "We need comprehensive defenses against every conceivable attack method—energy weapons, kinetics, biological agents, dimensional rifts, time manipulation, consciousness transfer, memetic hazards—everything humanity has ever imagined and more."
Nova's fingers fly over the holographic controls, already creating categories and subcategories of potential threats. "I'll begin compiling a database immediately. Fiction as predictive modeling—brilliant approach, Divine Mother."
Maxine watches her daughter with proud amusement. "We'll need to expand the quantum computing array to handle the simulations. Each defensive system will need to be tested against every attack vector."
"I want Victoria Bellona involved too," you add. "Her divine military intelligence will be crucial for identifying weaknesses in our defensive strategies."
"A perfect collaborative opportunity," Maxine agrees. "Nova's scientific innovations paired with Victoria's tactical genius."
Nova looks up at you, her eyes shining with purpose and something deeper—the predetermined attraction to you growing stronger as she matures. "Thank you for understanding the value of these fictional scenarios, Divine Mother. Many would dismiss them as childish fantasies."
"Sometimes the most profound truths hide in what others dismiss as fantasy," you reply, watching as your words cause Nova's divine connection to you to visibly strengthen, golden threads of loyalty and admiration pulsing between you.
