When I entered the room, silence was the first thing I noticed. After weeks of constant construction noise, tools, and movement, that space felt different.
Finished.
Lyannis stopped beside me. "So… it's done."
"Yes."
Rai'kanna crossed her arms, looking around. "It doesn't even look like the same room."
Scarlett analyzed every detail. "Complete structural alteration."
Elara completed: "Execution finished."
Vespera said: "No external traces."
Liriel walked a few steps forward, curious. "But… where is it?"
I looked at the exact point on the floor.
The surface was smooth, ordinary, with no visible marks. To anyone else, that room would look completely normal.
"There."
Lyannis raised an eyebrow. "That?"
"Yes."
Rai'kanna stepped closer. "There's nothing here."
"That's the point."
I stood still in front of the spot, sensing the energy around it. The system was already integrated. I could feel it.
I raised my hand and concentrated a bit of mana.
The moment the energy touched the location…
A faint sound echoed.
The surface responded.
An almost imperceptible line appeared, and then the mechanism began to move. The entrance opened silently, revealing a staircase leading downward.
Liriel widened her eyes. "That… opened."
"Yes."
Lyannis smiled faintly. "Interesting."
Rai'kanna commented: "No key. No lock."
"Only you."
"Exactly."
Scarlett stated: "Exclusive system."
Elara completed: "Restricted access."
Vespera said: "Maximum security."
I stayed silent for a few seconds, looking at the open entrance.
It worked.
No failures.
"Let's go."
I began descending, and the group followed right behind me. The internal lighting had already been installed, allowing the space to be clearly visible.
When we reached the lower level, everyone fell silent for a moment.
The vault was large.
Much larger than it looked from above.
The walls were reinforced, the floor solid, and the internal divisions were well organized. There was enough space to store far more than what I had at the moment.
Lyannis looked around. "This… is big."
"Yes."
Rai'kanna said: "You overdid it."
"No."
Scarlett analyzed the structure. "High capacity."
Elara stated: "Expansion supported."
Vespera completed: "Maximum efficiency."
Liriel slowly turned, observing everything. "This looks like… a real bank."
"Almost."
I walked to one of the central areas and stopped.
"Now it makes sense."
Lyannis commented: "All this money… needs a place."
"Yes."
Rai'kanna crossed her arms. "And no one will touch it here."
"No."
I stayed silent for a moment.
Then I took out the sacks of coins I brought.
One by one.
I began placing them in the designated space.
The sound of coins echoed faintly through the room.
It wasn't just money.
It was results.
Lyannis watched in silence. Rai'kanna as well. Scarlett, Elara, and Vespera analyzed the space. Liriel simply observed without saying anything.
When I finished, I stepped back a few paces.
The space still looked empty.
But that would change.
"This is just the beginning."
Lyannis smiled. "I knew you were going to say that."
"Because it's true."
Rai'kanna said: "And it'll fill up fast."
"Yes."
Scarlett stated: "Continuous growth."
Elara completed: "Adequate capacity."
Vespera said: "No risk of overflow."
Liriel looked at me. "Are you satisfied?"
I thought for a second.
"Yes."
But it wasn't full satisfaction.
It was… control.
We went back up, and once we exited, the entrance automatically closed when I removed mana from the system. The surface returned to normal, as if nothing had happened.
Lyannis commented: "No one will find it."
"That's the plan."
Rai'kanna said: "Now you have a real vault."
"Yes."
Scarlett stated: "Functional system."
Elara completed: "Security confirmed."
Vespera said: "Operation complete."
Liriel smiled faintly. "Now you can relax."
"For now."
---
It was already night when we decided to go out. After days focused on construction, I needed something different.
We went to the guild.
The atmosphere was as full as always. Conversations, laughter, noise. Nothing had changed there.
Lyannis sat naturally. "It's been a while."
"Yes."
Rai'kanna ordered a drink. "Today is rest."
"Today it is."
Scarlett and Elara observed the surroundings while Vespera remained alert. Liriel… already seemed too excited.
"Just a little," she said.
Lyannis laughed. "You always say that."
The drinks arrived.
And time passed.
The conversations were light. Different from usual. No strategy, no constant analysis.
Just… rest.
But as expected…
Liriel overdid it.
"I'm fine," she said, clearly not fine.
Rai'kanna sighed. "You're not."
Lyannis laughed. "You never are."
When we left, she could barely walk anymore. I ended up carrying her on my back.
"I can walk," she mumbled.
"You can't."
Scarlett commented: "Predictable situation."
Elara completed: "Expected outcome."
Vespera said: "No surprise."
We returned to the mansion under the night sky. The air was calmer, and the day finally felt like it was ending.
When we arrived, we went straight to the bedroom. The bed was large enough for everyone.
I lay down in the center.
Lyannis settled on one side. Rai'kanna on the other. Vespera rested her head on my chest. Scarlett and Elara stayed close. Liriel… was already practically asleep.
Silence filled the room.
I closed my eyes.
My body relaxed.
My mind slowed down.
But deep down…
I knew.
All of that…
Was just preparation.
And before fully falling asleep, a thought passed through my mind:
"Now… I'm ready for whatever comes."
