"Earth Release: Three Rooms and One Hall Technique!!!"
Next to the 39th floor teleportation anchor, Renjiro (Aether) had just returned from the surface. He hadn't even set down his packages when he saw Lumine, his sisterly companion, go full chuunibyou mode, yelling out a dramatic spell name. And, to make it worse, Tiona the little angel stood beside her, eyes sparkling, clapping enthusiastically.
Renjiro couldn't help but twitch his eyes and mouth.
Well, thank goodness in this magical world of the Divine Era, chanting a "magic name" is basically just pulling a trigger, no one really thinks it's embarrassing.
Although… the gods themselves clearly understand the concept of "chuunibyou."
So… absolutely don't ever pull this stunt in front of my elder sister (Freya) and the others.
Looking at Lumine…
cough While she shouted out the name of some martial technique from a distant world, what she was actually doing was consuming mana to generate and convert a small amount of Geo Element, which she then used as the foundation to create a "construction" step.
If you wanted to compare, it was somewhat similar to that blond little kid's "Polaroid alchemy" ability in terms of principle.
Of course, the details differed, but there was no need to focus on that now.
Because…
"Cooking, healing, weapon maintenance, long-range supply transport… and now you can even build a house?"
Finn and the others stepped into the small dark-golden hut that Lumine had just created out of thin air. The interior was equipped with simple yet complete rest facilities. Finn didn't know what to say.
Tiona darted around, poking and prodding everything, while Finn couldn't help but voice his amazement.
Everyone else looked around, curiously observing the golden streams of light flowing through the structure.
Riveria, naturally, was thinking deeper.
"Lumine, are you… like me or Lefiya? One of those adventurers who can cleverly use more than three types of magic?"
As she asked, everyone's eyes turned toward the cheerful, somewhat clumsy little sister.
Indeed, teleportation anchors, Genshin Descents, and the previously seen wind-controlling ability similar to Ais' Ariel counted as three separate types of magic.
And now, Lumine demonstrated yet another technique, which meant…
"Yes, both Lumine and I can harness the powers of the Genshin themselves."
Lumine sat on a rock pedestal in the center of the hut's hall, hands spread and shoulders shrugged.
"We're just not very skilled at using them yet."
Hearing her explanation, Finn quickly made a connection:
"So that wind-controlling ability similar to Ais' technique… actually comes from Xiao-san?"
Finn wasn't a mage, but he was quick-witted enough to figure it out, saving Renjiro some explaining.
"Indeed," Lumine confirmed, adding, "Even among all the wind-element Genshin, there are very few stronger than Xiao. He taught Renjiro and me many wind-control techniques."
At that moment, Renjiro, carrying his packages, chimed in:
"Not only that. A friend of ours gave us a lot of extremely novel advice. He summarized efficient training methods that saved us a lot of time and effort."
Finn perked up:
"Oh? Your friend is around your age? Someone capable of guiding the Twin Stars… I'd like to meet him. Can you introduce us?"
"No problem," Renjiro answered smoothly. "If there's a chance, I'll introduce him to you all."
"But…" He changed tone. "Before that, there's something important I need to clarify."
The relaxed conversation immediately shifted as Finn and the others leaned in, curious.
Bete, standing at the doorway, twitched his ears.
Renjiro began: "My friend… though it may sound rude, to Lumine and me, he probably has the greatest magical talent on the continent."
"Ah?" Tiona asked in disbelief.
"There are always better people, Tiona," Riveria said calmly. "Don't worry about it. We adventurers are equals, after all."
Renjiro continued with self-awareness:
"He is very young and certainly not as strong as Riveria-sama yet, but his potential… is unmatched. His name is Higashikata Renjiro."
"As far as I know, he is the only adventurer capable of learning all magic without restriction."
This fact alone stunned everyone. Finn and the others finally understood:
"Ah… now I see why this is an important thing to mention in advance."
Magic is a vital asset for adventurers and their families. Careless replication could cause massive complications.
Tiona whispered to Lumine, sitting beside her:
"You said both you and Renjiro were taught by this 'Higashikata'?"
"Yes," Lumine smiled. "Even when he unintentionally learns someone else's magic, he only uses it after getting approval. And we've already recognized him."
Renjiro added for clarity:
"Although he often 'accidentally' learns other people's magic, you should know this ahead of time."
"So… Finn, do you still want to meet him?"
