"What happened?"
Rex had been staring at the screen; he heard the sound and couldn't help but frown as he asked.
The Dr. left for a while, and her voice only came through a few minutes later.
"Our laser equipment penetrated its outer layer, and an unknown gas leaked out."
Deep in such an underground mine, ventilation is not a simple matter. If these are poisonous gases, an entire group of people will die directly.
Rex stared intently at the center of the screen. After a plume of White smoke dissipated, a blue fan-shaped light began to scan the workers.
After the light disappeared, a 3D image of an unknown species appeared in front of the screen. It had only one eye, no limbs, and was floating in the air.
It muttered something as if speaking, but what it said was not the language of Earthlings, and even its pronunciation was very different from that of humans.
"We don't understand what it's saying!" the Dr. shouted at the screen.
But Rex felt a sense of crisis from the other party's demeanor and speech frequency.
So he narrowed his eyes and said, "This is a warning."
"A warning about what?"
The Dr. was a little confused and wanted to ask for more details.
But she soon found out that the alien Shadow disappeared directly after speaking.
However, everyone present could hear a strange sound in the mine, a rhythmic pumping sound with a distinct beat.
"That's a heartbeat!" Rex judged almost instantly.
Sure enough, at the front of the screen, the spaceship's bulkhead suddenly turned red and showed a transparent texture.
Within it, a tall and muscular figure emerged, and the sound came from it.
The Dr. was also brave, fully demonstrating the United States' spirit of seeking death by stepping forward to investigate.
Suddenly, a huge arm broke out of the red spaceship. The hand vaguely showed five fingers similar to a human's, but each finger was thicker than a human arm.
At the same time, a Beast-like roar echoed in the mine.
Everyone immediately sensed deadly danger and shouted for other personnel to flee.
Thanks to the frequent disasters recently, the people of the United States already had their own mature routine for escaping.
So, although everyone was scared, they generally remained calm and retreated in an orderly manner.
But soon, the monster was no longer satisfied with just one hand coming out; it tore open the thick bulkhead of the spaceship and jumped out.
As soon as it appeared, its appearance was completely exposed to everyone's eyes.
This monster was at least three meters tall, and its body was larger than a brown bear's.
Its body was greenish-blue, and it had unknown sharp, horny growths on its back and elbow joints. It looked like a male.
He opened his mouth and roared, instantly shattering the eardrums of countless people.
Many workers wailed, covering their ears, then knelt on the ground, groaning in pain.
"Hurry! Run! Don't stop!"
The monster heard someone speaking, immediately leaped over to the sound, grabbed the person with its large hand, and then tore the human in its hands in half with a pull from both hands.
Red blood and colorful internal organs were scattered everywhere, causing countless screams in the mine.
And the monster, hearing the sounds, became even more inexplicably excited, starting to Carnage those who screamed and ran.
Those humans were easily torn apart in his hands like rag dolls, their internal organs thrown around like trash, and their flesh and blood splattered onto the rock walls like evil totems, forming a pile of bizarre patterns.
Even without being on site, just seeing the scene in the video made Mercy cover her mouth, almost throwing up.
Rex Luthor, however, was very calm. He narrowed his eyes, carefully observing the rampaging monster in the video, wondering what he was thinking.
The private troops outside the mine heard the commotion and quickly rushed into the mine. When they saw the monster, their faces instantly lost color.
"This damn thing should be handled by the Justice League!"
A team member cursed, but this attracted the monster's attention, and he shifted his gaze to the person who spoke.

The leading Officer sensed something was wrong and immediately ordered his subordinates to shoot.

It was like giving the monster a bath; he felt no pain or itch.
He roared, charged into the armed squad, and repeated his previous actions, resulting in another bloodbath.
Not a single complete corpse could be pieced together at the scene. Everyone, regardless of race, nationality, or gender, once again became one, a mass of flesh and blood where you were in me and I was in you, indistinguishable.
After the monster killed everyone at the scene, he seemed to finally calm down.
Meanwhile, Rex Luthor, in the LexCorp building, watched him intently. The surveillance had been tracking the monster's movements, capturing most of its actions.
Then the monster turned its head, its gaze seemingly piercing the screen and meeting Rex's.
"Interesting."
The monster on the screen roared, crushing the monitor, and Rex lost his view of that side.
Rex stood up again and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window, muttering to himself:
"If an alien race used some technology to trap that thing and used Earth as their private toilet, they would only do it for one reason..."
Mercy seemed to have recovered a bit and couldn't help but ask, "What?"
Rex lowered his head slightly, as if smiling: "They can't kill it!"
Mercy's body involuntarily trembled, and a deep fear gripped her heart.
In the mine, the monster, after killing everyone, walked out of the pit.
He looked up at the sky, then heard that there were still living people nearby. He moved like lightning, grabbing the person who was hiding. "No! Wait, please don't kill me!" The person cried and begged for Mercy.
But the monster had no humanity whatsoever, and just like before, he squeezed the person to death.
Then he continued to scour the vicinity; as long as there was a living person, he would tirelessly kill them, as if this was his only joy in life.
After another cleansing of the outer area, he finally became a bit quieter again.
However, not long after, he seemed to hear something again, turned his head, and ran directly in a certain direction.
At LexCorp Tower, Rex hurried out of the elevator.
As he walked, he said to Mercy, "The monster's destructive traces will bring people to trouble me."
Mercy comforted, "Relax, Rex, the applecore project has been approved by the authorities. We can easily erase those traces, and the authorities won't come to trouble us."
Rex completely ignored her comfort, only saying sternly, "You don't understand at all. What I'm worried about has never been bureaucrats; they can't do anything."
"But the Justice League is different. We cannot let them know that this is our responsibility, especially Superman and Shazam!"
"Erase all traces at all costs. LexCorp was never there!"
