Michael's mind went blank. The only thing he was able to focus on was the soft touch of Nicole's lips against his own.
Regardless of how much time had passed, he had never forgotten that sensation.
His arms slowly moved behind her, pulling her closer. The two remained in that position for a couple of seconds that seemed to stretch on for eternity.
Eventually, Nicole pulled away, her piercing gaze studying him silently.
Nobody uttered a word. Michael simply enjoyed being lost in her eyes.
After a brief moment of hesitation, Nicole's lips parted.
"I am sorry. I thought that by doing this I might remember the past, help you stop feeling lonely… But besides this feeling that we once knew each other, I can't remember anything." She said, a trace of guilt lingering in her voice.
