Chapter 131 - final fight 1

The night didn't arrive—it settled.

Slowly. Quietly. Like something breathing just beneath the surface, waiting for the exact moment to break.

The London base looked unchanged on the outside. Lights still hummed faintly through the structure, shadows stretching lazily across the walls, guards positioned like it was just another routine watch. Nothing screamed danger.

But inside—

everyone felt it.

That thin, invisible tension pulling tighter with every passing second.

Jay stood near the center of the base, one hand tucked into her pocket, the other loosely holding her phone, though she wasn't looking at it. Her posture was relaxed—too relaxed—but the sharpness in her eyes gave her away.

She was waiting.

Not nervously.

Not uncertainly.

Just… waiting.

Around her, the chaos hadn't started yet—but the energy had shifted.

Percy was pacing in exaggerated circles, occasionally stretching like he was about to perform instead of fight. "I swear if they don't show up soon, I'm going to feel personally disrespected," he muttered, cracking his knuckles dramatically.

Cin, sitting on a table nearby, nodded with full seriousness. "Yeah, same. Like imagine planning an attack and then being late? That's embarrassing."

Aries leaned against a pillar, arms crossed, watching both of them like he was reconsidering every decision that led him here. "You two need to be studied."

"We are," Percy replied instantly."Mentally."

"That's not something to be proud of.""It's a gift."

Michael wasn't part of their chaos.

He stood a little farther away, jaw tight, eyes scanning the exits like he was expecting someone specific to walk through them at any second. His hands flexed slightly at his sides, controlled but tense.

Every time Ava's ex crossed his mind—his expression darkened.

Angelo hovered near the control panel, gaze fixed on the screens, fingers moving quickly, almost instinctively, tracking movement that hadn't even fully appeared yet. Raphael stood beside him, quieter, but no less lethal—watching the data, calculating outcomes before they even happened, like he could predict the future in numbers and heat signatures.

And Keifer—

Keifer stood behind Jay.

Not too close. Not too far.Exactly where he needed to be.

His gaze wasn't on the room.It was on her.

Not obvious.Not constant.But there.

Watching.

Watching the way she stood as if this—everything—was routine.Watching how she didn't flinch, didn't overthink, didn't even blink wrong.Watching the way she carried every ounce of danger like it belonged to her.

Then—

Angelo spoke.

"Movement."

Everything shifted instantly.

Jay didn't turn.Didn't rush.Just tilted her head slightly.

"Where?""North perimeter. Multiple entries. They're spreading."

Jay's lips curved slightly."Of course they are."

Her voice lifted just enough.

"Positions."

And just like that—

The stillness shattered.

Raphael moved first, already speaking into comms as he headed toward the outer zone."Perimeter locked. No blind spots."

Angelo's fingers flew faster now, screens flickering as he tracked heat signatures and movement patterns."They're testing entrances. Not a full push yet."

"Let them," Jay said lightly.

Percy grinned, bouncing once on his feet like he'd been waiting for this exact moment."Finally. I was getting bored."

Aries rolled his eyes but pushed off the pillar anyway."Try not to die immediately.""No promises."

Jay finally turned slightly—just enough.

"Keifer."

He was already looking at her.

"Inside stays intact," she said."No breaches."

His jaw tightened, barely noticeable."Not happening."

A pause.

Something quieter passed between them.

"You stay where I can see you," he added.

Jay raised an eyebrow."Excuse me?"

"Inside," he corrected."Safer."

She tilted her head, almost amused."Bold of you to assume I plan on staying safe."

"I'm not assuming."

A beat."I'm telling you."

That almost made her smile.

Almost.

"Relax," she said, voice light, careless."I don't die that easily."

His expression didn't change."That's not comforting."

And then—

The first sound came.

Metal.

A sharp clang from the outer perimeter.

Then footsteps.

Too many.Too fast.

Angelo's voice cut through everything."They're here."

The explosion wasn't massive.It didn't need to be.It was precise.Calculated.A distraction.

Lights flickered.Shadows stretched, twisted, and shifted.

And then—chaos began.

Outside—

Gunfire cracked through the air.Short bursts.Controlled.Men shouting.Orders overlapping.

Inside—

Movement.Fast.Deliberate.

Jay stepped forward into it like she'd been waiting her whole life for this moment.Because maybe she had.

Someone rushed her from the side—she didn't even look.

Her body moved before the thought formed—she turned, grabbed his arm, twisted—he dropped hard against the floor, breath knocked out instantly.

Another—

Faster—

Coming straight at her—

She stepped into it instead of away.

Her knee came up sharply—impact—he folded.

"Too slow," she muttered.

But then—

Everything shifted.Not louder.Not faster.Sharper.

Jay stilled.Just for a second.

Then she smiled."There you are."

He stepped out of the shadows like he belonged there.Calm.Untouched.Like the chaos around him wasn't real.

Ava's ex.

For a second—everything else faded.

"Well," he said, glancing around, almost unimpressed,"you've built quite the place."

Jay tilted her head."Missed me?"

A faint smile.Not warm.Never warm."Not yet."

A pause.

Then his gaze sharpened."You always were the problem."

Jay smiled wider."And you always thought you were important."

He moved first.Fast.

But Jay—

Was faster.

Her leg came up sharply—connected straight into his side—the impact forced him back a step.

Not enough to take him down. But enough to remind him.

"Try harder," she said

Keifer saw him.

And something in him stilled.

Not calm.

Not quiet

.Focused.

He moved—

—but someone blocked his path.

Kaizer.

"Going somewhere?" Kaizer smirked.

Keifer didn't answer.

His fist connected before the sentence finished.Hard.

Kaizer staggered back, a low laugh escaping him."Still angry?"

Keifer stepped forward slowly.Controlled."You should be."

Kaizer wiped blood from his lip, grin widening."Or what?"

Keifer's voice dropped.Cold."Or I finish what you started."

And then they collided.

No hesitation.No holding back.

Every hit carried something deeper than the fight itself.

Across the field—

Angelo and Raphael stopped.

Because he was there.

Jay's stepdad.

Standing like none of this mattered.

"Well," he said lightly,"this is… disappointing."

Angelo stepped forward slowly.His expression—not angry.Worse.

"You like those, don't you?" he said, voice quiet."Moments where no one stops you."

The man's smile flickered.Just slightly.

Angelo didn't stop."You stopped when she begged, huh?"

Silence.

Then Raphael moved.

His fist landed hard across the man's face.

No warning.No pause.

The man staggered—but didn't fall.

"Careful," he muttered."You don't want to lose control."

Raphael's voice came out low.Dead calm."I already did."

And then they attacked.

Together.

Across the chaos—

Percy and Aries moved like destruction.

Cyrus stepped in front of them.Calm.Too calm.

"Two against one?" he asked.

Percy grinned."You say that like it's unfair for you."

Aries stepped forward.Eyes dark."Why?" he asked.

Cyrus didn't answer.

Aries's voice dropped."Why'd you try to attack her with your whole school gang, huh?"

A beat.

"You bastard."

Cyrus smiled faintly."She's not untouchable."

Percy laughed."Yeah," he said, cracking his neck,"that's where you're wrong."

And then—

They attacked.

Cin was the first to move, like chaos had been waiting for him personally.

"Okay WOW—rude," he muttered as a bullet grazed past his shoulder, ducking behind a crate before immediately popping back out like he had zero survival instincts."You could've at least aimed properly."

The man in front of him didn't get to respond.

Cin closed the distance in seconds—fast, unpredictable, grabbing him by the collar and slamming him straight into the metal wall behind him.

"See?" he said cheerfully, knocking him out cold."That's how you hit someone."

Not far from him—

Calix moved like precision itself.

No wasted steps.No unnecessary force.

Every move calculated.

A man lunged at him—

Calix stepped aside at the last second, caught his wrist, twisted—

A clean, brutal motion—

The crack was loud even under gunfire.

He didn't even look at him again.Already moving to the next.

Felix fought differently.

Sharper.More aggressive.Like he enjoyed it just a little too much.

"You really picked the wrong night," he muttered, dodging a punch before driving his fist straight into someone's ribs—once, twice—before finishing it with a kick that sent them skidding across the floor.

He exhaled, rolling his shoulders."Too easy."

Across the field—

Edrix didn't speak.Didn't waste time.Didn't react emotionally.

He just—

Executed.

A blade flashed briefly in his hand—Quick.Clean.Efficient.

One down.

Then another.

Rory moved beside him, matching his pace but not his silence.

"Oh, they're definitely underprepared," Rory said casually, ducking under a swing before countering with brutal precision."Like this is actually embarrassing."

He stepped over someone who had already dropped.

"Did they not research us or—?"

David didn't respond.He never did.

He moved through the fight like a shadow—quiet, unreadable, but devastating in every hit.

A man tried to attack from behind—

David caught him mid-motion, turned—

And dropped him before the sound even registered.

Josh, on the other hand—

Was chaos.

"OH THIS IS FUN—" he shouted, barely dodging a hit before laughing and shoving someone straight into another.

"Wait—no—come back—I wasn't done—"

Someone actually tried to run.

Josh blinked."Wow. That hurts my feelings."

He chased them anyway.

Near the far side—

Yuri moved fast, but his focus wasn't just the fight.

His eyes kept scanning.Tracking.Thinking.

"They're splitting more than expected," he called out, taking down another opponent with a sharp movement."Secondary group—left side—hidden entry—"

"Got it," Angelo's voice came through instantly.

Yuri exhaled slightly.Even now—still useful.

Denzel didn't move fast.He didn't need to.

He moved like impact itself.

Every step heavy.Every hit final.

A man charged him—

Denzel didn't dodge.Didn't step back.

He met him head-on.

The collision alone knocked the breath out of the other man.

Denzel's fist followed immediately.Down.No second chances.

Mayo fought with rhythm.

Almost effortless.

He weaved through attacks like he'd already seen them coming, movements smooth, controlled—like he wasn't even trying that hard.

"You guys are really making this too predictable," he muttered, stepping aside before sweeping someone off their feet.

Kit stayed close to the inner side.Guarding.Watching.

Nothing got past him.

Someone tried. They didn't make it two steps in.

Back in the center—

Everything collided at once.

Jay was still moving—

Fast.Untouchable.Surrounded but never trapped.

Calix joined her side for half a second—no words exchanged—just instinct.

Felix took the other side.A perfect formation.

"Missed me?" Felix muttered.Jay smirked slightly."Try to keep up."

Then she was gone again—Straight toward him.Ava's ex.

Their fight hadn't stopped.

Keifer stepped forward.Slow.Controlled.Ending it.

But then—

Someone moved past him.

Raphael.

"Switch," Raphael said quietly.Not loud.Not a command.Just a decision.

Keifer didn't argue.

Because now—

He stood in front of him.Ava's ex.

Raphael's fists were a blur, each strike connecting with Kaizer in a flurry of raw power and precision.Every punch carried the weight of personal vengeance—Kaizer had pushed too far, and Raphael wasn't holding back, not for anyone.

The warehouse shook with the force of the fight.Air thick with the sound of fists hitting flesh.Grunts.The occasional crash of overturned crates.

Across the room, another confrontation was brewing.

Ava's ex stepped cautiously forward, trying to gauge the situation, when Keifer blocked his path.

"Who are you?" he asked, his voice betraying a hint of nervousness under the tension.

Keifer's expression was icy.Controlled.

"I'm Mark Keifer Watson," he said slowly, deliberately."Husband of the girl you tried to flirt with… the girl you lost against. And now, you're about to realize that wasn't a smart move."

The man's eyes widened, caught off guard.

But Keifer didn't give him a chance to recover.

With each step Keifer took forward, it was clear:This wasn't just a fight. This was a reckoning.

Meanwhile, the sound of Raphael's punches striking Kaizer punctuated the chaos. The two fights ran in parallel—One fueled by personal vengeance. The other by protective authority.

Gunfire and shouts ricocheted across the warehouse.Sparks flew where metal met metal.Broken crates littered the ground like scattered corpses of the battle's opening moments.

And still—Jay moved.Fast.Controlled.A storm of motion and precision.

Her eyes flicked briefly to Keifer, then back to Ava's ex.He wasn't just an opponent. He was the ghost of her past mistakes, the embodiment of the danger she had fought to outrun.

And now—he was here.

Smiling.

Confident.Wrong.
