Chapter 7 - preparation

On another side of the forest, a figure covered in a black cloak was waiting for the strange being to come. After a while, the strange being arrived with Mia.

"Finally, the girl I am waiting for has finally arrived in my domain, hahaha,"

she laughed wickedly.

"Lay her on the stone for the ritual,"

she commanded the strange being, and it obeyed. She extracted Mia's blood and chanted some words before moving away from her.

"Strange,"

she frowned.

"Isn't she supposed to be the chosen one to kill the Majesty of Evil? Why can't I feel the energy of the chosen one in her? I hope I haven't made a mistake?"

She questioned herself.

"Take her away. I will send these to the Majesty of Evil,"

the figure ordered the strange being, and it went. The figure vanished into thin air like nothing happened.

In a cave, the white woman disappeared, leaving Lord Mars in deep thought.

"Her Majesty of Evil is alive, how possible?"

he thought.

"She has to be alive to fulfill the prophecy of destroying all supernatural, but only the chosen one can stop it."

"FIND HER!!!"

the white woman's voice echoed throughout the cave.

Lord Mars left the place to look for his mate. Then he saw the strange being running with someone. Looking closely, he knew it was Mia. He ran after the being with anger and sent it flying heavily into several trees. He caught Mia and laid her on the ground, then charged toward the being, but a powerful wind pushed him away.

"Hahaha,"

an evil laughter rang out.

"Lord Mason's son has grown, how wonderful? Hahahaha,"

the voice laughed.

"Show yourself, you coward!"

Mars shouted.

"Not now. For the prophecy to take over all supernatural, it must be fulfilled,"

the voice said.

"Who are you?"

Mars asked.

"Someone you will find out, but now I am going with my being,"

the voice said, and the being disappeared.

_Somewhere in the forest_

Rain was still falling. Lola still lay on the ground, hopeless. Meanwhile, Lord Cruns was in the same forest looking for the special herb that had just bloomed when he saw it. He walked toward the herb to grab it when he heard someone sniffing. He looked around and beheld a beauty. Even though her clothes were covered in mud and wet, it did not hide her beauty. The first thing that came into his mind was, _What could cause a beauty to cry under the rain?_

Lola raised her head when she felt a presence.

"Who are you?"

she asked, disrupting his senseless thought.

"Huh?"

he asked before getting hold of himself.

"You don't have to know. I came here for a newly bloomed herb when I heard someone sniffing,"

he answered.

"So why are you crying?"

he asked.

"I am a bad friend. I... I... can't... pr... otect her,"

she sobbed more.

"It's okay,"

he said as he hugged her, holding his umbrella.

"Mate!!"

his dragon, Cruz, roared. Cruns was shocked but held her closer to himself. Lola also felt like she was connected to him but enjoyed the warmth of his embrace.

On the other side of the forest, Lord Mars gave up searching for the voice and went back to where he had laid the unconscious Mia. He crouched down and stared at her for a while before taking her into his arms.

After a few minutes of hugging each other, Lola broke the hug and took a few steps back.

"I will be going now, thank you,"

she bowed and took to her heels while Lord Cruns watched her silently till she was out of view.

_At the Golden Castle_

Lola appeared looking like an empty basket. Her face was totally messed up from her eyelid to her jaw with makeup, rain, and mud. Her dress was soaked and tangled with fragments of tree branches and leaves.

"Lola, why are you like that?"

Fredrick asked her.

"I couldn't save Mia,"

Lola said, falling to the floor dejectedly.

"What?!!!!"

A group of supernaturals exclaimed, but it was cut short with the sudden appearance of Lord Mars with Mia in his arms. Lola couldn't control her joy. She moved forward to hug Mia, forgetting that the person holding her was her lord. Lord Mars clicked his fingers, which brought her to reality.

"Sorry, Lord Mars,"

she said, bowing her head. Lord Mars ignored her and disappeared.

In his chamber, he laid the unconscious Mia on his bed and flicked his finger, and Mia was fully dressed in new clothes. Granny Kate appeared.

"Take care of her, I am heading out,"

Lord Mars said to Granny Kate before heading toward the door.

"Are you prepared?"

she asked. He was still for a moment before he held the knob and left. Granny Kate took in a deep breath and sighed, then focused on what she was about to do. After she was done with the mixture, she opened Mia's mouth and poured it in. Granny Kate sighed and said to herself,

"If only she would give up."

Meanwhile, in a strange dark place, a woman was seen making some strange liquid on a table with a huge book by her side. After she was done with the ingredients, she gave it to the strange being and it trembled, screaming in agony.

"Haeescreeeuhruch."

A pair of wings opened on his back and the being was shaped into a man, but still maintained his lion's face with a long tail. The woman gave it her last recipe, which was Mia's blood...
