We're not done here," Elias told me as I started to walk away. His voice was deep and filled with anger.
I quickly turned back. "Oh really? About what?"
He took a deep breath, his face beginning to redden.
"Mind your business when it comes to Annette."
"You mean the girl you cheated on last night?" I stepped closer to his face.
He shoved me back.
Before I could react, I felt hands on my chest and looked down to see Annette staring up at me, her eyes pleading for me to just walk away.
"Annette, come here. I want to talk," Elias said.
She shook her head. "I have nothing to say to you."
"I'm sorry about last night. I was upset, drunk, and not thinking clearly."
"Because I wasn't ready; you found someone who was."
Wow. She wouldn't sleep with him. Damn, he was worse than I thought.
I could see tears starting to well up in her eyes. I wrapped my arm around her, pulling her into my chest.
This seemed to enrage Elias even more. He crossed his arms and bit his lip.
"You know what your problem is, Able? You like to play Superman to get your adrenaline rush, which is why you get involved in everyone's relationships. First Abby, now Annette."
I couldn't help but laugh. "I'm glad you see yourself as an abuser."
"Enough, damn it!" yelled Finn, stepping out of his tent.
"This is over." I narrowed my eyes at Elias. He rolled his eyes and walked past me and Annette.
A few moments later, I made my way to Finn's tent, and I nearly gasped when I saw Abby lying on his chest, sleeping soundly.
"What the actual heck, Finn?" I asked playfully, making sure to smile so he knew I wasn't upset.
He laughed. "I don't know what it is; over the past few days, I've felt drawn to her."
"Just don't pull an Elias, please."
"Were you interested in her?"
I rubbed the back of my neck. "I'm not really sure what it was."
He nodded. "I don't want to have to argue with you over her."
"You won't have to."
"And what about Annette?"
"I'm not sure I can avoid arguing over her."
He laughed.
"Let me know if you need any help with the Nick situation. I don't want Abby anywhere near him."
"Good luck with that; we've already been trying to address that issue."
