Hearing his words, I was feeling that maybe this is it; now the good people have to die. But hearing the ashoka's answer, the rolam expressionlessly nodded and began to take gulps of drinks.
Seeing him this normal despite hearing that I was not his real mom, he wasn't reacting to anything, as if he had expected it.
Seeing it, ashoka spoke while taking a sip of his drink: 'Ok so now you tell me, truth or task!'
Hearing his words, he spoke in same cheerful tone: 'Truth!'
Hearing it, ashoka spoke with deep tone: 'So when michael is visiting us?'
Hearing it, Rolam giggled a bit before speaking: 'Well, he told me that he will be visiting us on our way back, so it can't be said that he will be arriving at any particular time.'
Hearing his words, I felt that I surely played my part in such a mess; the creep Michael surely played his cards behind the veil while I foolishly thought that I managed to oversmart him.
But the question arose in such an environment: since when did he know that I wasn't his brother? Well, I didn't hope for him to even consider me as his brother, but still it was too good to be true.
But whatever the case was, now the real question arises: should I think of a peaceful way out or just prioritize my own survival and kill anyone who is threatening my survival?
Well, Ashoka and others would be trouble if I didn't go all out since the start, and even Otaku and Nicole could be troublesome if not dealt with proper caution, so does it truly have to end it like this? I guess cursed souls like me shouldn't even have dreamed about an adventure in the first place.
But as i was thinking about it, i picked up a bottle and began to take some gulps of my drink and spoke in drunken manner: 'So, now what? Do you guys plan to do something about it or we are just going to wait for michael to join up?'
Hearing my words, everyone looked at me, and began to look at each other, while ashoka spoke: 'Kid, whatever happens remember that michael knew all along that you were not his brother but he still shown care for you, so better not ignore that. And as for the truth, we knew because we all had spent much time with the onam in past, so we all had clue that you weren't him.'
Michael instructed us that if things start to get out of hands, we should take actions but things never got out of hands, so we had nothing to worry about in entire journey!'
Hearing that this nasty bastard knew all along that I wasn't onam surely was a kind of pride breaker, but still it was a relief that I could still continue the journey without much drama, but to think that things escalated to such a tense atmosphere was nothing but tragedy for me.
At least now I could again chill out and rest, so thinking about it, I nodded and looked forward to the game. As soon as the game was about to start, we felt few things were flying our way; feeling them, everyone started sighing while getting back dressed and started collecting the things.
The first thing that came was an arrow with a strange kind of elven energy on it; well, it was looking much fancier, so I thought that it surely must be something from the royal family, while Ashoka and Niona also got a strange dark letter with some strange flying creature flying with it.
As for Otaku and Nicole, they got a voice in their heads. So mostly I could clearly guess what could have been in those strange messages: a summons to return as quickly as possible. So now I could clearly feel why everybody was saying that they would have to leave soon, but it surely was a pity that I didn't get a chance to pull any naughty stuff.
So soon they all started getting ready while getting out of the pond, but Otaku was still drinking by my side, while Leo and his sister started getting dressed, and Nicole also wiped her fingers and changed to formal wear, but Niona and we all were still residing in the pond.
Seeing us still slacking off in the pond, Leo and others all had looks of jealousy, and Nicole spoke with firm expressions: 'So, otaku, you are joining humans' side, right? So are you thinking about betraying the divine race, also?'
Hearing her such firm words, we looked at Otaku, who was still busy messing around in the pond, but hearing her words, he laughed somewhat whole-heartedly before speaking: 'Of course not, why would I even take sides with pesky mortals? I only take sides with my master; I don't care which side he picks; I am just going to follow him. I won't care if I have to kill in my master's path; it won't matter if it is human, demon, or other fellow gods.
My weapon will always protect my master; I won't let my master experience the same fate as my friend!'
Hearing his words, she gritted her teeth, but before she could take any serious actions, she left while saying: 'You will regret standing against your own kind, for a mere reincarnator!'
Hearing her words, he smirked a little while gulping his drinks. as for others, they were not saying much about it, but leo came near us with his sister and spoke: 'Well, brother Onam—I mean, Soyankar, i can't make promises like brother Otaku, but I also vow in the name of our existence that whenever you need help, feel free to reach whenever you want; we won't deny any request from your side!'
Hearing that not everyone was like that bitch, i was feeling much proud and warm, so i also nodded while speaking: 'Don't worry, Brother Leo; this won't be our last meeting and besides, you have something that surely will keep attracting me to your side, so heh-heh, we will meet pretty soon!'
Hearing my words, Leo looked at his sister, who was looking down while trying to cover her red face, and seeing her expression, Leo surely was having blood in his eyes but forced a smile before leaving.
But while he was about to leave, I gave him something that could help him with his nation, a seed of a world tree!
That I received from Ashoka way back, so seeing it, he had pretty dark expressions and had much shock, but he gritted his teeth without saying anything before leaving.
Well, I had already created replicas for such treasure, so it won't hurt me to give him those.
