And just then, Hades landed on the ground with his wings flapping loudly with each heavy strokes brushing the fine grass underneath his shoes. He floated a few steps away from the ground while his black fine wings slowed down to come to a stop.
"What did you see?" Hyperion asked, his voice low yet carrying enough weight to make the air around them feel heavier. The forest had gone strangely silent after Hades returned, as though even the wind was waiting for his answer.
Hades sighed slowly, dragging a hand through his dark hair before leaning back against the stone pillar behind him. "A cave. It seems something have entered the forest."
The words settled uneasily between them.
"Something bad?" Crius asked immediately. His brows furrowed together as he watched Hades carefully, trying to read the expression on his face. Yet instead of concern, he saw how the corner of Hades's left lips were raised into a curling grin.
That grin only made Crius more uneasy.
