Melody Thorne's sudden serious demeanor made a trace of smile appear at Jared Quinn's thin lips. He tapped her nose saying "Don't worry, you won't be left out."
"That's more like it," Melody Thorne got up and stretched lazily. She had been lying down all afternoon, and there wasn't any dramatic period pain. She used to suffer quite aggressively from it.
"Time for dinner," Jared Quinn led her by the hand to the dining table, his lips always carried a fond smile.
Melody Thorne had checked several times, thinking it was her imagination. Lately, Jared Quinn seemed to be developing a better temperament, especially towards her; he gave her whatever she wanted, she made him happy with whatever she said.
"What are you looking at? Eat," Jared Quinn took her hand and handed her a fork.
Melody Thorne had just taken a couple of bites when Leon Rivers called.
"Finish eating first," Jared Quinn hung up when she was about to answer.
