"I will make proper arrangements," Nathan Foster said in a deep voice. All these events were enough to teach him a lesson.
After the drug's effect wore off, South Grant woke up. When she woke up, she found herself in a hospital.
Looking around at the familiar surroundings, she realized this must be Vincent's hospital. She remembered, when she and Nathan Foster were still in the desert, Nathan apologized to her and kissed her. How did she suddenly end up in a hospital?
Could it be that she was dreaming? While South Grant was pondering this, Vincent came in. He looked down at South's pupils, then sighed and said:
"My dear little aunt, you almost tormented someone to death."
"Who did I torment?" South Grant was somewhat puzzled by what Vincent was saying.
"Who else could it be? Nathan Foster's two broken ribs and Ivan Keller's scraped life—both are your doing, yet you're asking me who you tormented."
South Grant was stunned by Vincent's words.
