In the New World, the isolated and rugged peaks of Wano Country pierced the clouds.
Following the news of Kaido's sudden appearance in the Wokaa Kingdom, two figures descended upon the closed borders of Wano. Shamrock and Gunzi, elite agents of the World Government, glided toward the mainland.
As they touched down on the coast, Gunzi took in the breathtaking waterfalls and the vibrant autumn colors of the Hakumai region. "What a stunning country," she whispered, her eyes narrow. "A land this beautiful truly belongs in the hands of the Celestial Dragons."
Shamrock remained cold and indifferent, his focus entirely on the mission. "There is no place more beautiful than the Holy Land of Mary Geoise on this entire sea. Enough talk. We need to move quickly."
Gunzi nodded. With a sharp flick of her wrist, black bandages unspooled from her arms, wrapping around her body like living shadows. A massive, obsidian magic circle erupted on the ground beneath her, accompanied by two jagged bolts of black lightning that tore through the sky. In a flash of dark energy, two formidable figures appeared in Wano.
The first was Somaz Saint, a scruffy-looking man who carried himself with the casual air of a seasoned warrior. Beside him stood Quilingorm Saint, a bizarre figure with an elongated neck and a head resembling a dragon-giraffe hybrid. Both were esteemed members of the Holy Knights, the supreme elite who served the interests of the World Government's hidden rulers.
The two newcomers looked around with genuine curiosity. "So this is Wano Country? Truly unbelievable," Somaz Saint remarked.
"It's my first time setting foot in this land," Quilingorm Saint added, his long neck swaying as he scanned the horizon.
Shamrock didn't waste a second. "Now that you've arrived, we act according to Imu-sama's direct orders. This country is not like the others. Even though Kaido is currently away, the power of the samurai is something we cannot underestimate. Furthermore, our intelligence suggests that three of the Beasts Pirates' All-Stars are not in the Wokaa Kingdom. They are likely guarding Onigashima. Quilingorm, Somaz, you two will move into the interior to incite chaos. Gunzi and I will infiltrate Onigashima and the Flower Capital's Shogun residence."
"Understood," they replied. "Leave it to us."
Suddenly, a Den Den Mushi tucked into Gunzi's robes began to ring, the loud purupuru startling the group. Gunzi answered quickly, and a familiar, authoritative voice filled the air.
"Have you begun the operation?" the voice asked.
"Yes, Commander. Has something happened? Why are you calling us now?" Gunzi asked, her brow furrowed.
The voice on the other end was thick with rage. "The plan has changed! Kaido has committed an unforgivable act and enraged Imu-sama!"
"What!!!" All four of them froze, their faces turning pale with a shared, instinctive fear. To anger the secret ruler of the world was a death sentence.
"Listen carefully," the Commander continued. "You are to proceed, but your objective is no longer just infiltration. You must teach Kaido a lesson he will never forget. Plunge all of Wano Country into a living nightmare."
Meanwhile, on the Grand Line, on the savage island of Rusukaina.
This was the island where Portgas D. Ace and Monkey D. Luffy were undergoing grueling training. Although the Dark King, Silvers Rayleigh, had strictly forbidden the Pirate Empress, Boa Hancock, from visiting—fearing her presence would distract the brothers—she always found a way.
Hancock constantly invented excuses, like delivering "lovingly prepared" meals, just to catch a glimpse of Luffy.
On the shore, Ace and Luffy were currently devouring a massive feast Hancock had brought. The Empress sat nearby, her chin resting in her hands as she watched Luffy eat with a doting, lovesick expression. "Oh, Luffy..." she sighed happily.
Her daydream was shattered by a frantic scream from the edge of the clearing. "Snake Princess! Something terrible has happened!"
Hancock's romantic aura instantly evaporated, replaced by a fiery rage. "Elder Nyon! You old hag! How dare you disturb Luffy-kun and his brother while they enjoy the meal I made for them!"
The brothers stopped eating, pieces of meat still hanging from their mouths, as they looked up. They watched in shock as the tiny, hunched Elder Nyon descended from the sky with the speed and agility of a much younger warrior, clutching a glowing device in her hands.
"Whoa, she's fast!" Luffy chirped, impressed. He had always thought Nyon was just a grumpy old woman, forgetting she was a former Empress of Amazon Lily.
Nyon didn't care about their praise. She landed and thrust the device forward. "Don't waste time, Snake Princess! Look at this!"
The indifference in the camp vanished instantly. As the light from the device projected an image, the figures of Kaido and Big Mom appeared. Then, they heard the words that made the world stand still.
"That's right, you heard me correctly," Kaido's voice boomed from the broadcast. "It doesn't matter if you don't know what a Road Poneglyph is yet. Because right now, I'm going to tell you exactly how to become the Pirate King..."
Back in the sea surrounding the Wokaa Kingdom, the atmosphere was chaotic.
Thousands of pirates and Marines sat in stunned silence. "Wait, what is a 'Road Poneglyph'?" a pirate shouted. "Does anyone know what he's talking about?"
While the common fodder was confused, the heavy hitters were trembling. Crocodile, Doflamingo, and the other underground emperors looked on with wide eyes. Even Trafalgar Law felt a cold sweat breaking out.
"Hey, tell me I'm dreaming," one pirate whispered. "Kaido is actually going to reveal the location of the Poneglyphs?"
"It's not April Fool's Day! Is Kaido insane, or am I?"
On the island itself, Rayleigh remained hidden in the shadows, his eyes narrowing with a flash of genuine anger. This was a secret that was meant to be earned, not broadcast to the masses.
Nearby, the three Revolutionaries were equally stunned. "What is Kaido's end goal here?" Sabo wondered aloud.
On the Marine warships, the tension was at a breaking point. "Kaido, you absolute bastard!" Fleet Admiral Akainu roared. Molten magma began to drip from his shoulders, sizzling as it hit the deck. He didn't need to bark orders; every Marine knew that this was now a war for the very soul of the world.
Kaido looked down at the sea of confused faces and chuckled, a deep, rumbling sound. "Worororo! It's fine if you don't believe me. Once I've told the story, you can judge the truth for yourselves. Now... where should I begin?"
The dragon took a breath, and his voice carried across the world. "How about we start at the very beginning... with the history of the Void Century."
"Boom!!!"
