Professor Lu stood there, frozen, then finding that none of the two professors are going to explain anything, she said, "Seems like I was disturbing the two of you. But I can't help it, the principal asked me for the scheduled plan. I apologize for that."
Though she said she was sorry, but her tone and expression didn't seemed so. Professor Lin hastily tried to rescue the situation, but was cut off by professor Qing.
"Miss Lu, first of all it is not like what you think, and second is that you should first announce your presence before entering in someone's tent, specially if it's of a male staff. Or otherwise people will think that miss Lu doesn't adhere with proper etiquettes." He said with derision.
Professor Lu started fuming. Firstly they were the one being indecent in broad daylight and now they were saying she lacks etiquettes. Truly marvellous.
She didn't stay there for long to argue further and exited without saying anymore, only glancing back at professor Lin with disgust filled eyes. He was being a dickhead is understandable, but you? Have you also lost your mind?
Professor Lin couldn't say anything and could only shrunk in on himself. He clearly saw those disgusted eyes directed at him and was seized by an unexplainable crawl on his skin. He bolted right after her, fleeing the tent.
Qing Lan slumped on the chair again. He hadn't expected to get interrupted like this, moreover he hadn't even done anything yet. How will he face Lin Huan later on the excursion.
This time, it won't really be easy to coax him. Sigh...
After finally getting released from Baizhi's grasp, Anning made her way to Sizi's tent again to give her the medicine.
Once inside the tent, she saw Sizi lying on her bed staring in void with dull eyes. The disposable cutleries were beside on the table, a piece of flatbread still half eaten.
She tool the water bottle, and poured some in the bowl, then sorted the medicine to give her a pill.
"Here take this. It is of fever, and take some of these abdominal medicines too." Anning said without looking at Sizi.
She was feeling guilty, but didn't know why. Or maybe, she did?
Even her heart was thudding dully, but it was till bearable so she ignored it.
Sizi has gained some strength after eating and being self- conscious, knew she looked pathetic right now. She took all the pills Anning gave her without any objection. Once ingested, she rose from the bed to take care of all those used disposable materials.
But under Anning's care, how could a patient do any chores when she is right there. She stopped Sizi and said-
"Leave these things to me. I can do it. Rest for now."
However, Sizi has never been taken care of and can't process these princess treatments right now. She insisted on taking them outside.
"I can do it. I'm not that fragile and moreover, you have to go to the excursion too right ? Go and make your preparations. Leave me on myself. "
"It's okay. You can give this to me and rest." Anning couldn't help but frown.
Already delirious from fever and the past disagreements and the deep feelings, tore at Sizi's throat which started to sting. Because getting treated like a porcelain doll by her first love after knowing perfectly well that she is for someone else and being hated by her couldn't be more worse.
Thinking about this matter, her eyes again started to stung, but she can't let the tears fall. To cover her flustered self, she hid those eyes and sneered, "Isn't your good deed for the day already finished? And seriously, it's just a fever which will pass just like everything did.
No need to spend your precious time on me. Like I said -Leave me on myself."

"Fine. You want to be completely on your own? Have it your way. You know what, you are actually too unbearable and I am so sick of fighting through a brick wall just to make sure you don't pass out in this jungle."
Anning snapped. Her last piece of rope strained to keep her together finally snapped.
Seeing Sizi silent with her head lowered, She became more furious and shook her shoulders, making her look at her. She roared, "Do you think I am doing this for me? I am acting, isn't it? Everything I do in your eyes is only for my sake, no? Believe whatever lie helps you sleep at night, because I'm completely done."
When that was not enough, she closed the distance between them with one step. Her intimidating tall stature giving her upper hand and she pinched Sizi's chin, lifting it to make her look in the eye. But the next words were spoken so coldly that this intimate gesture seemed like warning.
Anning whispered, her eyes cooling the soul of the receiver, "Who do you think you are, that I will waste my time on you."
Ranting these, Anning took her hand back and strode towards the exit, only looking back when she reached the tent flap. Her nose flares were still not settled from her ragged breathing. She said anything which came to her mind, in fact, has vented all the frustrations, dilemmas and her own twisted feelings.
She has only turned sideways on instinct, not wanting to even see her face and never meddle with her again, but-
Is she crying?
Wait, no-
Not possible.
A muffled choking sound reached her ears. She wouldn't have been able to hear it if not for her good hearing sense.
A single drop finally escaped from Sizi's eyes, and after that it seemed like they have finally found a way to be freed as more tears stained her cheeks. Her shoulders were shaking and she was herself trembling all over.
Anning froze. She didn't meant to hurt her in real.
It was as if a bucket of cold water was emptied on her head. Without thinking anything, she literally ran in the already small space of the tent and came straight in front of her. Then what-
She was gripped by panic and at a complete loss for how to act. She tried to pat her head, then decided otherwise and moved her hand to pat her shoulder instead, then again moved to pat her back. But nothing seemed appropriate.
Suddenly Sizi swayed.
Anning thought it was due to shivering. She lifted her head to look at her face, but the whole person toppled over her without any warning.
