Not completely. Not without the quiet doubts that still crept into her mind like unwelcome shadows when she least expected them, usually late at night when Adrian had finally fallen asleep beside her, his strong arm draped possessively over her waist, or during the rare quiet moments when she found herself alone with her thoughts. But despite everything, she was happy. Or at least happier than she had been in a very long time.
Ever since that intense night in the bedroom when Adrian had looked her in the eyes and declared, "I choose you," he had taken those words very seriously. Inside the mansion, he acted like a man determined to prove it to her every single day.
