Finally—FINALLY—the moon rose high enough, full and bright.
Moonlight spilled into the ravine like liquid silver poured from the sky.
And then—
Glowing.
Faint, silvery-blue glows scattered across the rock faces like stars pulled down to earth.
"There," Faelyn breathed, pointing with a trembling hand.
Dozens of deposits. Perhaps hundreds. Scattered throughout the ravine walls, previously invisible, now shining with ethereal light in the moon's touch.
"I see them," Roshan said, already on his feet, alert and focused. "Stay close. We move fast, gather what we need, and leave immediately. No delays."
They descended from their alcove and approached the nearest glowing deposit with careful speed.
Up close, Faelyn could see exactly what Roshan had described hours earlier. Dark gray host rock shot through with veins of native silver that caught and reflected the moonlight, creating that otherworldly blue-silver glow.
