The next two weeks moved fast.
Practice. Format prep. Strategy sessions. Manager Park ran them with the focus of someone who had done his homework on every previous game show the production company had run. Both groups were preparing in parallel. The media covered it like a sports fixture. In some ways that was exactly what it was.
Soorin moved through all of it in her professional capacity.
She was in the building. She was at the morning call times. She was in the chair sessions that ran longer than usual. Stress showed up on skin first. That was her job to fix.
Jisoo talked through his prep every single morning in her chair. She let him. He was working through it out loud and she let him. She was good at being a useful wall to talk at.
"NYXALIS's trivia scores are apparently very high," he said one morning, face tilted up for her to work on.
"Don't move."
He stilled. "Their maknae apparently has an encyclopedic knowledge of anime."
"Jisoo."
"That is my category."
