The intercom crackled.

A brief pause.
Then, still in the same composed voice:

The cabin went quiet for one second.
Then Jisoo started laughing.
Minjae covered his mouth.
Taekyung looked up from his phone.
Doyun pointed at the speaker panel on the ceiling.
"She is one of us," he said.
Haejin pressed his lips together very hard.
The flight attendant cleared her throat and continued in English:
