Chapter 330 - The Poneglyph Secured

Hearing Yamato's complaint, Leno gave a wry smile and shook his head.

He had originally planned to beat BIG MOM down first, then let Yamato finish her off as practice.

Who would've thought that old hag wouldn't play by the rules and actually use lightning to provoke him? How was he supposed to endure that?

By the time he came back to his senses, things had already turned out like this.

Given BIG MOM's current condition, even if she didn't die, she'd lose a layer of skin. There was no way she'd be fighting again anytime soon.

He reached out and patted Yamato on the head, apologizing, "Sorry, Yamato. This was an accident. Next time, you'll take the vanguard for sure!"

"...Guess that's the only way."

Yamato trudged over to Robin for comfort, looking dejected. Even though she was unhappy, she didn't make a fuss.

Seeing her aggrieved expression, Leno shook his head inwardly. This girl really was battle-crazy.

Beside them, Nami kept rubbing Zeus in her arms, her face full of delight. She asked curiously, "Hey, idiot, what's this guy for? A pet?"

"Hey! Nami, my name's Zeus, not 'this guy'!"

Before Leno could answer, Zeus protested indignantly from her arms. Then he lifted his little face proudly.

"I'm amazing, okay? See that lightning earlier? I was the one who fired it!"

"Oh? So you were the one who attacked our idiot captain? That makes you an enemy then…"

Nami grabbed Zeus's cheeks with both hands, a dangerous smile spreading across her face.

You dared attack our captain and you're proud of it?

Feeling the hands pulling harder and harder, Zeus began sweating cold bullets. He muttered sheepishly, "Th-That was Mama's order earlier…"

"Hmph. I'll let it slide this time. Behave yourself from now on!"

After another round of merciless kneading, Nami finally let him go.

His ability was somewhat similar to hers, so she was at least a little interested.

Leno flashed over to the emperors of the underworld. Seeing their miserable state, he felt speechless.

These guys really had guts.

The commotion from his fight with BIG MOM had been that huge.

And yet they hadn't run. They'd stayed put to watch the show.

Or maybe they hadn't managed to escape. Except for Morgans, who clearly never intended to leave from the start.

When they saw Leno suddenly appear before them, their bodies trembled involuntarily.

The arrogance they once had was gone. In its place was deep-seated fear buried in their eyes.

How could they not be afraid?

Just look around.

This apocalyptic, natural-disaster-like devastation—who could remain unmoved?

If Leno hadn't deliberately held back, they'd all be charcoal by now.

As expected of the "Thunder God." The strongest Logia user. His lightning control was terrifying beyond measure.

Leno ignored the others and walked straight up to Stussy with a smile.

"Wait outside later. I have something to discuss with you."

He reached out and brushed her slightly dirty cheek, then leaned close and whispered into her ear, "Don't think about running. The consequences will be very serious."

"Y-Yes, Lord Thunder God…"

Her voice was timid, her gaze evasive.

Feeling the slightly rough hand on her cheek, Stussy's body trembled instinctively.

Seeing her frightened look, Leno chuckled softly, his expression calm and composed.

Whether she was pretending or not didn't matter. As long as she obeyed, he'd have plenty of ways to deal with her later.

With a wave of his hand, he split a path through the dense lightning. Then his figure turned into a bolt of electricity and vanished.

The others exchanged glances and hurried along the newly opened path.

Every second spent there was torment. One wrong move and they could lose their lives.

Even the ever-dedicated Morgans didn't dare linger. Leno had personally escorted them—he wouldn't dare refuse that courtesy.

After leaving the rooftop plaza, Leno's figure kept flashing across different parts of Whole Cake Island. Eventually, he found the treasure vault.

After knocking the guards unconscious, he swaggered in and directly stored the Poneglyph into his bag.

Since he was already here, he had no intention of leaving empty-handed. He began sweeping up the various treasures BIG MOM had collected.

While Leno was still "strolling" through the vault, the entire Whole Cake Island had descended into chaos.

Team after team, having witnessed the spectacle of lightning, knew something had happened and rushed toward the scene.

When they arrived, they froze in shock.

The venue where the tea party had been held was now swallowed by violent lightning. From time to time, BIG MOM's children were being carried out from within.

What horrified them even more was that their ruler, BIG MOM herself, was lying off to the side, smoking and unmoving—her life or death unknown.

It was only under Katakuri's command that everyone snapped back to their senses and began frantically rescuing the wounded.

By the time Leno returned, the adventurers were confronting the remnants of the BIG MOM Pirates.

Katakuri, Perospero, and the few still standing glared at Leno with hatred when he appeared.

It was this man who had caused catastrophic losses to the BIG MOM Pirates.

Nearly all the high-ranking officers had been wiped out, and even their Mama was unconscious.

If they had the chance, they would tear him to pieces.

But in their current situation, they didn't dare act rashly.

If he decided to kill them, with Mama absent, none of them would be his match.

Katakuri stood at the front, his eyes bloodshot as he stared at Leno. Veins bulged on the hand gripping his trident.

Looking at his injured younger siblings, his heart felt like it was being cut by knives. He wished he could take their place.

He wanted to charge forward and fight the man to the death.

But reality didn't allow it. And he wasn't strong enough anyway.

Leno, standing not far away, paid no attention to their glares.

Just a few small fry. Insignificant.

He walked back to his companions, about to call everyone to leave, when Nami suddenly grabbed his arm.

With a stern expression, she jerked her chin toward the side and demanded, "Idiot, what's with that woman? She said you told her to wait."

"Hm?" Leno followed her gaze and nodded in realization. "Yeah, that's right. I've got something to talk to her about."

"What could you possibly need to talk to her about?" Nami twisted his waist sharply and said through gritted teeth, "I think you just took a fancy to her!"

"You damn idiot! One woman after another—are you ever going to stop?"

"...This time it's really important!"

"I don't believe you!"

"..."
