The gate guards in the Medicine Hall under observation and a confidentiality order that Thorne had delivered in the specific tone of voice that made people understand the order was not a suggestion.
On the map table: a pile of work clothes and a sealed container of grey ash. The only physical evidence that anything had happened in the Verdant Spire's corridor three hours ago.
"This is what's left," Raven said. "The man and the thing that was inside him. Both of them. Clothes and ash."
