Chapter 36 - Chapter 45 – The Meaning of Strength

The city was quiet again.

For Prism Three, quiet had become something unfamiliar—almost uncomfortable. Months ago, they had believed their battles were finally over. The enemies they had fought, bled against, and sacrificed for were gone. The city had healed. People had returned to their normal lives.

Or so they thought.

Inside their base, the three stood together as they spoke with Prince Vekar and his companions. One of Prism Three broke the silence, her voice steady but heavy with memory.

"We already defeated our enemies once," she said. "After that… there was peace. Months of it."

Another clenched her fists. "Then the attacks started. No warning. No name. Monsters we'd never seen before."

Prince Vekar listened carefully. Unlike before—when he ruled with arrogance—his expression now carried something closer to understanding.

"When you arrived to help us," the third member said, bowing her head slightly, "it meant everything. If this conflict truly ends… we will follow you."

Argus crossed his arms. "Words are easy. Survival is not."

Before anyone could reply, alarms blared through the base.

The ground shook.

Outside, the sky darkened as a massive army of monsters poured into the city, flooding the streets in waves. There was no hesitation.

Prism Three transformed instantly, their colors flashing brilliantly as they rushed forward—Prince Vekar following close behind, his armor gleaming as he entered the battlefield once more.

The clash was immediate and brutal.

Prism Three fought with everything they had, blades flashing, energy blasts tearing through the enemy ranks. Prince Vekar stood beside them, unleashing his power with relentless force. Even so, the pressure was overwhelming. The monsters kept coming, their numbers barely thinning.

Meanwhile—

Argus, Levira, and Damaras moved.

And the battlefield shifted completely.

Argus tore through enemies with raw strength, each strike shattering multiple monsters at once. Levira moved like a storm of blades and shadows, dismantling formations before they could even react. Damaras advanced calmly, his overwhelming presence alone causing monsters to freeze before being obliterated.

For them, the battle was effortless.

Five minutes.

That was all it took.

The battlefield fell silent, bodies dissolving into nothing as the last echoes of combat faded. Prism Three stood frozen, breathing heavily, staring at the aftermath. The difference in power was undeniable—and humbling.

Levira turned toward them, her voice sharp but honest.

"That attack," she said, "was not even close to the end."

Prism Three exchanged glances.

Prince Vekar stepped forward. "If you wish to survive what is coming, you cannot remain as you are."

Argus nodded. "You have potential. But potential alone won't save your world."

Damaras added quietly, "Strength must be forged."

Prince Vekar looked directly at Prism Three. "Argus and Damaras will train you. Not to fight like heroes… but to endure like warriors."

There was no hesitation.

Prism Three bowed deeply.

Training began immediately.

Every strike pushed them past their limits. Every failure exposed weaknesses they never knew they had. Pain became routine. Exhaustion became familiar. But with each passing moment, something changed.

They were no longer fighting just to protect their city.

They were preparing for something far greater.

Something that was coming.
