Chapter 4: Deal between royalty
———————————————
Returning from the endless underground prison of the black mountain, Ezekiel the dragon king walks side by side with the giantess bullock, both heavily damaged.
The great-giant warriors looked at them
both with shocked expressions of relief.
One of the giant warriors with yellow skin and a large sword carried on his back lowered himself to one knee as the giantess bullock approached him. Despite her missing arm, which was slowly regenerating as bursts of steam and hollow energy surged from the wound, she remained resolute and regal.
"Take care of preparations; we will have a wonderful feast. There, we can talk about the alliance of great giants & the dragons of annihilation coming together as one."
In the next moment, Bullock looks to the right side of her at Dragon King Ezekiel and smiles.
"Wait here for a few moments; I'll be back shortly. I must go grab something important."
Ezekiel nodded towards her and walked over to sit down on a nearby rock. He plopped himself down on it, and his body quietly and rapidly recovered from the damage he had sustained. His flesh and bones mended themselves back together, and his draconic scales reformed alongside the lost wing he had from the battle test earlier in the prison.
A few minutes had passed; Bullock returned to greet Ezekiel again. As he looked back up after being lost in thought for a moment, he turned his head to see the giantess in a new outfit. Bullock had adorned herself in long crimson silk robes, complemented by exquisite ordained jewelry, including three golden bangles that comfortably encircled her wrist.
Furthermore.
Bullock's feet were adorned with sandals, while her hair stood elegantly tied into three long braids, with strands cascading down her soft, light gray face.
Shortly after, Ezekiel stood up and turned fully towards Bullock, saying with a smile, "So are you ready, giantess Bullock? I've been waiting for some time now. I thought I was going to have to wait on the conversation for the future of both our races, the Great giants & dragons of annihilation, of course."
Bullock chuckled softly, then shook her head:
"You have nothing to worry about. As a leader of my clan, I will respect the battle we had. And honor that talk you wanted with certainty."
The giantess gestures for Ezekiel to follow her as the two begin walking down a long, narrow path that leads into Bullock's Court of Giants.
In the distance, Ezekiel beheld the colossal alabaster stone pillars that supported the immense palace, which stood majestically in the center. A long, winding staircase descended from the palace to the lower kingdom, where great warriors and ordinary giant civilians resided in Bullock's Court.
Bullock's general and personal guard resided inside the inner palace to watch over and protect their ruler, serving as the strongest line of defense against any attack that may come.
Ezekiel looked up at the palace itself, built from the same material as the endless underground prison known as the Black Mountain. Two towering guards, each standing 60 feet tall, stood before a massive metal door, their sides adorned with shields and swords, poised to strike.
Slowly walking up the steps, Bullock looked towards the two guards with a warm smile: "You may open the gates. Guards, this is an honored guest of mine, whom I recently tested in combat, as is traditional in our realm's customs.
Be sure to show him respect as you would with me."
Shortly after Bullock finished speaking, the two guards nodded respectfully. Each of them moved aside to allow Bullock, the giantess, and the dragon king Ezekiel to pass.
The two monarchs, Ezekiel & bullock, finished making their way into the hall of the gargantuan palace of great giants. Ezekiel began to look around, letting his eyes wander in awe of the sheer size of the magnificent hall he had stepped into.
After a second, he stopped for a brief moment, then asked in a curious but even tone: "How long did it take to make such a place of this scale? If I could guess, no more than a few dozen years, I would assume?"
Bullock shook her head, then said in a flat tone: "Actually, it's been here long before I was born; this kingdom was built well over a few hundred million years ago by giant artisans who then passed it down from generation to generation
Eventually, my great-grandfather took the role of leader of this kingdom, and then it passed down to my grandfather, who had a wife who gave birth to my mother, and then she had me."
Bullock turned slightly to the right. And pointed upward towards the long line of paintings on the wall, each showing a generation of her own family's historical lineage. Ezekiel noticed that under every monarch's name in Bullock's family history, there were two dates: one for when they became ruler and one for when they passed the title to the next generation.
Bullock noticed his deep curiosity with looking at the dates and spoke once again: "Each ruler watches over the realm for at least 100 million years, and during that time they are the strongest of great giants but also a leader who has to protect the betterment of their kingdom and people
My mother, Solvine, was the last ruler before I took the throne. Yet, sadly, she died much earlier before her term as ruler was to end, as it happened during a battle against a different faction of great-giants known as the bone seekers, a group of vicious cannibals who believe only in the supremacy of their own clan."
Bullock turned to look at the last painting of her mother. She had lighter gray skin then Bullock but was much more muscular, with deep red hair and light brown eyes, and scars across her body.
Ezekiel could see that this brought Bullock to a somber state of being as she continued to speak on the death of her own mother with sadness: "The man who killed her was the ruler of the bone-seekers named Koldar, a violent giant who slaughtered my mother in cold blood."
