But under Hiruzen's earnest gaze, he still accepted the mission. Even if I lose all the elites I've trained in Root, it's all for Konoha, he thought.
Hiruzen then turned to Homura and continued to give orders.
"Have the Hyuga and Uchiha defend against a possible attack from the Mist. Have Sakumo Hatake and his men keep an eye on the Sand. If there's any sign of trouble, report to the village immediately. Orochimaru and the others can handle the Stone."
Of the five great ninja villages, besides the Mist, who had not received the news due to their isolationist policy, all the others had made their move.
